rein to do whatever they want, including painting over whatever they
like. gnome-shell can't enforce anything.

I've setup a UEFI core18 VM and dialed the memory all the way down to
256M but the loop mounting and loading of the kernel still works fine.

Does not work on my Ubuntu 20.04 with any version of the offered Nvidia
drivers. It used to work on Ubuntu 19.10. My workaround is to deactivate
the Nvidia driver and use noveau even features that I need like CUDA are
not supported.

When I plug in a USB microphone after one, two or three hibernations with work
in between* the Xorg process is "going crazy" at around 100% - 130% CPU usage.

Similar problems can and do exist in Chromium and Firefox simultaneously
while native Gnome apps won't have such problems. So maybe gnome-shell
is the wrong place for this bug.
Can you please list affected and unaffected apps?

I just found a Dell laptop and installed the ubuntu 20.04 on it.
After plug the headset, there is a pop-up dialog shows, there are 3
options let users choose: headphones (if users plug a headphone),
headset (if users plug a headset, here headset means headphone + mic,
just like the headset for

So @Douglas,
Your machine also has internal mic, so the Capture source is either
internal mic or headset-mic, so in what situation it is headphone-mic?
