Running the new release upgrader tarball from the link you provided
seems to have fixed the issue. After removing the unused package I still
have the linux-raspi meta packages installed:

Hi Lucas, I'm not running that version of slapd or Ubuntu anymore. I've
long since added the local customization to
/etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.sbin.slapd which made the problem go away.
It's possible that this workaround isn't needed anymore, I haven't
tested that.
I just thought I'd share the idea

libisc-export1105:amd64 1:9.11.16+dfsg-3~ppa1 (?)
I am running the following packages from the PPA, please note that
libisc-export1105 is required (that's
where the fix is located).

I was running a sudo update/upgrade after first install

isc-dhcp-server failed to start after that, a reboot fixed it and it appeared
to stabilise. Then as a test i upgraded the primary server.
when the primary server came on line the secondary went off line and the
stability of the environment went down fast.
Remove the patched version and installed
Doing the usual Ubuntu operating system updates, we are now up to
18.04.4. Epson came out with a new driver (3.63), as opposed to the 2
previous drivers mentioned above. 3.63 works just fine, so it looks as
though it just wouldn't work with the previous 2 drivers. So it looks as
though this problem

clone_system_state.tar.gz to your bug report so that we can investigate
the issue? Thanks in advance.
