I tried suspend with the latest kernel (5.8) and the input freeze still
happened. Suspend works on the Windows 10 partition. I could boot up a
different distro's live usb or install a different desktop manager and
see if the problem is with the kernel or something higher up.

I do not understand why this bug has taken this long to get resolved. At
least one scenario is that FF simply opens the dialogue box giving the
option to choose what software to open the attachment but the "Do this
Automatically for files like this from now on" is selected. How hard is
it to have

You upgraded your 'mutter' package to 3.36.4 but not your 'libmutter'
