Current mouse (trackball) I used from the beginning of 2020. It works with no
issue with Ubuntu 18.04. Issue occurred just after last Ubuntu update (middle
of August).
Whats funny when I have my mouse/trackball plugged i
Tested on 5.6.0-1023-oem, works as expected.

Hi Erica,
Thank you for looking after the certbot packages in Ubuntu and being
proactive about managing service deprecations as always.
My feeling on this one is to cherry-pick the commit you identified only,
if that is all that is required? Could you confirm which Ubuntu releases
require this pl
This bug affects the current Ubuntu Desktop Groovy iso file too (not

Disabling 'desktop icons' from the extensions app did not work for me, but
renaming the
folder /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/desktop-icons@csoriano did the trick.
The extension was already disabled. A

Whoa! I have experienced something interesting.
The issue disappeared when I tried to debug something with mouse and use `xev`.
After starting it (and also after closing it) - focus issue disappeared.
It would be awesome if this helped to fix it. Not sure if this is related but
I'm temporary happy
Bah... I was going to let this just die, because the only thing we could
ever reproduce it on were old iDRAC6 systems.
But now, according to this bug: #1893136 it appears that this is also
segfaulting on some very new Dell systems with iDRAC9, so we definitely
will need to get this issue resolved.
Sure. I attach dmesg with 5.8 kernel without dmic_detect=0.
Note that this is with nvidia with nouveau drivers.
