snap-store tells me there's an update available for snap-store. I tried
to tell it to update itself, but it says it can't because the
application is currently running. Fair enough, that's not the bug I'm
reporting here, just some background information.

firmware upgrade for the x390 (1.67 -> 1.70) that I was sure I'd already
installed yesterday.

1) I bought a new HP Pavilion 15-cs3075wm,(pre-install windows 10 Home,
i7, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) notebook, without any fingerprint & touchscreen.
2) I wanted to install Ubuntu/Elementary OS on it as dual boot. I
created 20 GB partition for Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS/Elementar
bind-dyndb-ldap is just a part of the puzzle, I don't think freeipa-
server will ever be in 20.04.

Fairly simple install on non-efi Dell Latitude E6400. Just selected
"something else" and used an existing partition for /. Another OS is
already installed next to it (on sda3 I think).
Installation ended with a grub install warning. Not sure what will
happen when I reboot but
I don't think it does. If you manage to repro again please either core
dump or install the symbols before back tracing. But I'm afraid it's a
shot in the dark until we know more or can repro.

Sorry, not sure why casper is still out-of-date there. Respinning now.
Note that this only changes the behavior on SECOND boot of the image.
If you have systems that wouldn't boot the previous image at all, this
doesn't do anything to correct that.

sources, because the packages from them are still installed the upgrade
was not able to be calculated. You'll need to reenable the PPAs and use
the tool ppa-purge to remove the packages provided by the PPAs and

Is that correct or is the manifest just not updated? It's still not
working on the Dell latitude E6510 and E6400 previously mentioned. On
the E6510 I tried both legacy and UEFI modes and

This is likely because you installed nodejs packages from nodesource and
those packages are usually a greater version number than the ones
provided by the official Ubuntu archive. Subsequently, you'll need to
remove those nodejs packages and try the upgrade process again.

In a fresh install of Ubuntu Server 20.04.1, netcat -vlp 8000 fails with
the following error message:
netcat: getnameinfo: Temporary failure in name resolution
Name resolution, both forwards and backwards, works as expected
