the main window disappears, changes the cursor to the crosshairs, then
reappears suddenly. At that point, the gnome windows manager is frozen,
and switching windows can only be done with keyboard shortcuts.
This bug is old but I'm going to un-duplicate it. I don't believe it is
fixed.

indirectly running `lxc` from a snap (/snap/bin/lxc).

I cannot power up the virtual machine in virtual box anymore. Last week
it still worked without a problem.
It's a windows 10 virtual machine in powered off state
when I click on Start I get the following error:
