Just an update to #17 - I've since had to turn this off because it
destabilized my Pop! OS install terribly. I was seeing 3-5 hard lockups

top right of the screen and select Power Off/Logout > Suspend. The
computer will suspend. I can unsuspend within a few minutes without
error.
If I close my clamshell and leave the laptop suspended for

First: I'm german, and I think my english is not the best.
I had the same problem. All i did was to get Internet connection.
Sounds simple and silly - but when i got the internet connection, my
"refreshing (software) cache" made it till the end (closed itself just

While pinta-daily's PPA repository is available for all Ubuntu versions
including xenial 16.04, pinta-stable appears to be available only for
LTS versions of Ubuntu, which is very understandable. The only problem
is that it supports all LTS versions except ONE:
I have tested the rc4+ kernel (two reboots with similar results).
I will try to summarize the results:
Rc4+: ASPM L1 enabled both before and after suspend/resume!
Rc4+ before suspend/resume:
Power consumption around 4.3 W
Idle stats: pc2-pc3 is reached
ASPM L1 enabled for NVMe (and all others)

Hi,
I started Ubuntu 20.10 on a USB Key and the keyboard was working fine on kernel
5.8.0-25.
I "kind of" installed the last 5.11-rc4 kernel on my Ubuntu 20.04 and the
keyboard was working fine too (I were only able to test it in a terminal mode).
Since Bus and Devices values where differents
I have also been getting this error as soon as my system updated from
Kernel 5.4.0-58-generic x86_64 bits to Kernel 5.8.0-38-generic x86_64
bits.
Booting from the 5.8 kernel stops with a black screen and a blinking
cursor. Pressing the PC power off switch performs a power off.
Rebooting with
though it may be at a lower level (I wanted to enter kde-plasma-desktop
here which I do have installed from Ubuntu)

reinstall attempted today. CD image downloaded on 20210124 and USB
created via Rufus on Windows. Attempted install, indicated Install
Third-Party Drivers. Crashed at the very end, after updating packages.
hardware is a System 76 Gazelle (2019).

unfortunately, none of it helped for the touchpad. However my speakers
seem to work now :-) (maybe this was also a system update, I do not
know).

Same problem, same DAC/amp. I'm using kernel 5.8.0. It worked yesterday
morning before I took my laptop out of the dock for the day, but hasn't
worked since. The Schiit Fulla has jacks for both mic and headphone; the
mic seems fine (though I can't select it, I can see the input level in
