I have tried to reproduce the error on a vboxed fresh install of 21.04
and on a minimal install from 20.04, which I sequentially upgraded over
20.10 to 21.04. I could not reproduce the error on these minimal
installations.

I'm not sure how strong of a problem this is anymore. It definitely was
problematic early in fwupd's development, but fwupd-efi hasn't had any
"ABI" impacting changes for a while now.
Interesting point. There is a fwupd-efi.pc that will represent UEFI
executable version
Fcitx 4.x does not support Wayland environment. IBus should be the
default choice. If you have to use Fcitx, please use fcitx5. See also

only remaining failed autopkgtests are systemd/i386, which looks like it
timed out, and linux-hwe-5.4/i386, which nearly always fails.
I started another re-run for systemd/i386 but even if it fails again it
seems unlikely the timeout is related to the patch for this bug.

On ThinkPad P1 Gen 3, I upgraded the 1.3-2ubuntu3 in proposed, there are
'AES pen' at 'Wacom Tablet', and I tried set the 'Top barrel button' to
'Right Mouse Button Click', then 'Middle Mouse Button Click', it works
fine.
The second button, 'Bottom barrel button', is not supported yet.
I tried
As there are several crash files in that directory, I tried again to check
the date on a new crash report, but no new files were created:

Hmm, activity here seems to have died.
The PPA is cleaned by the end-of-cycle cleanup and Hirsute released with 5.2.
Maybe by now all kernels have got 5d971f9e67 ("memory: Revert "memory:
accept mismatching sizes in memory_region_access_valid"") and so it
triggers no more?
Thereby I'm setting
I have the 6th gen x1 carbon as well and am pretty sure it is the 0090 you
referenced, I will try that later today.
I think the issue the original poster was stating is a new dependency that does
not allow us to have just the package we need for open-fprintd.

Isn't better to use bindings now instead of those env variables?
As they tend to be a bit fragile...
