I installed Lubuntu first. Then added the Xfce Desktop afterwards. It's

Because this bug prevents completion of Jammy Jellyfish installation it
seems testing is halted for the time being until the issue is addressed.
As this situation arose on 8-11-2021 and it seems to have had no
attention since then I am guessing the developers consider this to be a
matter of
I think I have found the solution:
Set org.gtk.Settings.FileChooser.LocationMode to "filename-entry"
In dconf, see attached screenshot

I've just made a new blank VM, downloaded a fresh copy of the Ubuntu
MATE 20.04.3 amd64 ISO... and installed it (the only choices I made of
note were.. picking a Minimal install with 3rd party
firmware/codecs/etc..)
