abruptly killed, and the logs don't contain any hint as to why this
might have happened.
I wonder whether this could be an out of memory situation, where the

The 20.04 LTS linux-firmware package list was cut before the
amdgpu/navi12* firmware files were upstreamed to the Linux kernel
repository, which is unfortunate because this hardware is older than
some other included firmware (navi14*), and the
apport-collect 1960826 just writings out "." endlessly. The
documentation says that apport-bug collects the same info so I have
manually created a file locally which I have attached here. HTH, if

Hi Steve,
What you described with systemd-resolved and the resolver on the
loopback interface looks to be the issue.
Adding the rule allowing dns on 127.0.0.1 solved the issue.
I'll mark the bug as "invalid", at least I think that's the correct
status for this.
