[Bug 39862] Re: [sky2] Marvell ethernet interface doesn' t work after reboot
I have a Toshiba Tecra laptop and have no network connectivity with the Marvell NIC running sky2 driver version 0.15. I installed Kubuntu 6.06 (kernel 2.6.15-23-686 (system is dual boot with WinXP). I can't get it to work even with a cold boot. I don't see the ACPI error messages either. Ethtool reports no link even though I am connected to my router. [Bug 49439] No sound on Toshiba Satellite p100-114 with intel-hda chipset
Public bug reported: Hi, Everything loads fine, all the modules seems to be installed successfully. Alsa mixer reports only one channel called PCM, nothing else. [Bug 49442] gpm refuses to suspend to ram after some time
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager After a fresh boot, suspending my laptop works fine (by closing the lid or by choosing suspend from the logout menu). Closing the lid does nothing anymore, and when I choose 'logout' from the menu there is no option anymore to suspend the machine. [Bug 22400] Re: Wallet manager losing wallets
I've also had the disappearing wallet problem. I had it today, saw this bug, started kded manually from a terminal, and the wallet came back. In konqueror, it would forget all my passwords, without telling my that there was a problem; it would also forget all the SSL certificates which I have chosen to accept despite not knowing the certificate authority (and refuse to remember new ones). Apart from meaning I had to click through two dialogs every time I went to a new page on a self- signed site, it also prevents a particular web based login from working. [Bug 49511] Kubuntu/dapper: Firefox freezes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox After upgrading from breezy to dapper, my firefox (in KDE) has begun to be quite unstable. It freezes very easily (often, but not only, when I switch desktop) and it has to be killed in order to be shut down. I have not recognized any common denominator for the sites I visit when the freeze occurs. When launced from a terminal, firefox produces tons of the below error messages, but as it may keep running while printing them, I don't know if they are of any relevance for the freezes: (Gecko:5374): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_from_drawable: assertion `gdk_window_is_viewable (src)' failed (Gecko:5374): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_n_channels: assertion `pixbuf != NULL' failed (Gecko:5374): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_bits_per_sample: assertion `pixbuf != NULL' failed (Gecko:5374): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_width: assertion `pixbuf != NULL' failed (Gecko:5374): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_height: assertion `pixbuf != NULL' failed (Gecko:5374): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_get_rowstride: assertion `pixbuf != NULL' failed (Gecko:5374): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Kubuntu/dapper: Firefox freezes https://launchpad.net/bugs/49511 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Further to this I have performed some more tests: http://popey.com/istanbul/demo1.ogg [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ file demo1.ogg demo1.ogg: Ogg data, Theora video [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -ltr demo1.ogg -rw-r--r-- 1 alan alan 114351 2006-06-12 22:39 demo1.ogg You can see the issue when you play back the video above. I start the video on the minute with seconds showing on the clock. Time passes quickly in the video. Also note the mouse cursor is yellow. Before recording I killed powernowd and echo 1024 /proc/sys/dev/rtc /max-user-freq as root, as this was suggested when playing back video to stabilise timing. Neither made any difference. The PC on which I am performing this is a 2.1GHz Dell XPS Inspiron using the binary nvidia drivers. I then attempted to test using the same computer but with the open nv video driver. http://popey.com/istanbul/demo2.ogg [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ file demo2.ogg demo2.ogg: Ogg data, Theora video [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -ltr demo2.ogg -rw-r--r-- 1 alan alan 118750 2006-06-12 22:51 demo2.ogg I started this video at 30 seconds past but nothing was captured for a few seconds, then it skips chunks, not recording.
