Removing and reinstalling firefox ***seems*** to have fixed the problem,

single player campaigns seem to be missing from the install. They should
be in /usr/share/games/wesnoth/data/campaigns. I downloaded wesnoth
1.1.11 source from the wesnoth.org
Correction- session is irrelevant, it's the pages that are loaded that
are- bogs down unusually on flash or javascript intensive websites like
tomshardware.com or anandtech, but fine when the CPU is idle w/ other

It was the normal i386 install CD.
The odd thing is, I tried it a minute or two later and it worked
perfectly. When that install finished I clicked the 'Restart Now' button

yesterday i had the same problems with update on amd64. Maybe
regenerating the cache helps (i can try it first monday morning)
