Sorry, the bug is actually xorg related. I noticed that xorg detects
the lcd panel size as 1024x768, but uses 800x600, refusing to try
1024x768 because of 'bad mode clock/interlace/doublescan'. I suppose
installer functionality at 800x600 is not important. I'll try to
close/withdraw this bug.

No, this does not happen when using directly gs. It just gives an error
about a font, maybe it's the cause of the problem with Evince ?
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/tmp$ gs -sDEVICE=x11 lgs-lema-msteam1.eps

Doesnt that tell us, it will be fixed in the beta?

Thanks for your bug report.
This doesn't surprise me - Xgl is highly unlikely to to ever support the
X extension that lets the ATI proprietary tools talk directly to the
driver as it sits on top of another X.
Unfortunately it's probably best to reject this bug (and ask ATI to
implement
MOTU UVF, can we get an UVF exception for this one? (NB that I did not
test this package at all, in fact I have never used it, but I was asked
to push this a little).

Public bug reported:
the user created during installation has permission 1600755 and should have
1200755.
(i observed this after installing some other libraries, not immediately after
installation, so the problem may be caused by something done later)
by the way - how do i change from 1600755
