[Bug 104863] Re: php5-gd needs to update php.ini

2007-05-21 Thread Ondřej Surý
I don't know which version you are talking about.

But current versions create /etc/php5/conf.d/gd.ini which gets included
into configuration and older packages got postinst hook to insert those
lines into php.ini.

However this could be some sort of configuration on your site, which is
very hard to tell, since we don't know details.

[Bug 94127] Re: conffile prompt on upgrade

modifies php.ini on install to put 'extension=mysql.so'.

I guess it cannot be helped.

[Bug 73852] Re: dpkg -S /usr/bin/phpize fails

2007-05-21 Thread Ondřej Surý
It's not a bug, but a feature. /usr/bin/phpize is not part of php5-dev
package. Instead it gets registered by update-alternatives script (since
you can have phpize4 and phpize5 in system at the same time).

php4 will be dropped from Debian and Ubuntu, so that will solve your
problem ;-).

But to answer your question. You will have to download sources, remove
those conflicting lines and recompile both php versions. Then track when
fix came out and follow same procedure.

I think you should, to make everybody happy, start out with the Debian

you can. (It sounds like you did it the other way around?) Then state in
the changelog which remaining Ubuntu patches/changes are left, plus of
course your udev rules change.

[Bug 115921] Please sync lshw (overwrite ok)

2007-05-21 Thread Michael Vogt

Our only change was:
- Remove lshw-common package; depend on pciutils and usbutils instead.

This is done in debian now too:

lshw (02.10-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release. Closes: #405452
  * Remove lshw-common package. manuf.txt and oui.txt aren't used at all,

2007-05-21 Thread Hilario J. Montoliu \(hjmf\)
Thank you armymedic42 for submitting this report.

Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on

and that should be located at /var/crash/ to [2].

Please indicate which extensions/plugins do you have enabled; and if this crash
is reproducible describe the steps that lead to it (it is very important for us
to have a test case for each crash).

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

Thanks in advance.

what are you trying to install, what is the status of your disk layout,
are you using lvm or clvm or raid or just flat file systems. More
impostantly what is the status of the file system the packages are
trying to install to.

why is the executable path and source package being reported against
gnome-system-monitor ?

How do you have a 2.18.1 kernel in ubuntu 7.04 ?

Is your ubuntu install a standard 7.04 install ?

[Bug 115862] Re: Update Compiz Package to Include theme mangment/emerald

2007-05-21 Thread Matt Darcy
Hello Travis.

thanks for the feedback on this enchacment request.

Questions.

1.) The updates made for gusty, will they get filtered down into fesity if
approved or will fesity not change revisions.
2.) I was wrongly from reading forum threads under the impression that the
current version of emerald was compiz compatible, I asssume from your comments
that it is not.
3.) If emerald is not compatiable currently and compiz does not ship with any
theme mangament tools, is there a plan to use an alternate theme managment tool
or simpley wait for emerald to become compatible.

thank you

[Bug 93315] Re: Mousetrapper USB mouse non-functional

2007-05-21 Thread Raffe
Hi,
I have the same problem with my MouseTrapper. As a developer with injured arms
it is important to me to get it working. I've just installed Ubuntu and I
expected my MousTrapper to work as it did with my Debian Sarge. But, hmm, it
seems to get disconnected.

-lusub output:

Bus 001 Device 001: ID :
Bus 003 Device 001: ID :

( I get many blocks like that in dmesg output but with different
address.

Thanks in advance.

[Bug 113679] Re: xorg freezes when running openoffice

2007-05-21 Thread Petri Väkeväinen
Unfortunately the RenderAccell wasn't a solution. The issue keeps coming
up, and it's also occurs with other programs than openoffice. This time
it froze with firefox. I also noticed that I cannot connect via ssh to
the box anymore. Again, no logs show any signs of anything out of order,
except for this in xorg log.

(WW) NVIDIA(1): WAIT (0, 1, 0x2000, 0x8814, 0x8814, 0)

I'm thinking of starting to use the kernel from dapper to get rid of
this issue. Any reason not to?

This plan is brilliant. So, will my Cannon Lide 20 work now, if I run it

[Bug 115928] comment: access via samba denied to nautilus network browser in feisty

2007-05-21 Thread Max-Ulrich Farber
Dies ist offenbar ein Nautilus- und kein Samba-Problem, denn auf die
persönlichen Freigaben kann problemlos zugegriffen werden, wenn diese
auf dem Client mit dem korrekten Username und Samba-Passwort gemountet
werden.

This seems to be a Nautilus problem and not a Samba problem, as there is
no problem to access personalized shares when they are mounted in the
client with the correct username and password.
