[Bug 113227] [PATCH] Re: Incomplete/broken mouse handling in screen
A debdiff to enable mouse detection for the screen terminal, within vim. Also includes the fix for bug 86916. The debdiff has been tested in Gutsy (under qemu); the code changes have also been tested in Feisty as direct modifications to upstream source (unpackaged). ** Attachment added: vim.debdiff http://launchpadlibrarian.net/8180338/vim.debdiff -- Incomplete/broken mouse handling in screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/113227 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 121927] Re: After coming out of suspend via power button, mouse and keyboard don't work
Looks like it is a duplicate, same basic problem for the keyboard at least. Also, today it happened when I woke the computer up by raising the lid, and didn't happen when I woke it using the power button. So, that's strange. Maybe this is related: very rarely after coming out of standby, typing in my password, and the desktop showing up, one of the notification pop-up things (typically the You are now connected to the name wireless network message) will appear and seem to get focus, with no way to get it back. When that happens, the mouse still moves around, but clicking doesn't do anything, and keyboard input doesn't really work either. The way I found to fix it is to go to a workspace with an open window and alt-tab a couple times, after which everything's normal again. Could that maybe be related to this bug (and bug 107725) ? -- After coming out of suspend via power button, mouse and keyboard don't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121927 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 119412] Re: [needs-packaging] mac
I got the debian source package on the rarewares site. It compiled, installed fine, and works well on amd64 kubuntu Feisty. I suggest anyone with ape files get the source from rarewares and convert their apes to flac. Ape appears to be dead on Linux for now. mac-port has severe license problems. I suggest ubuntu (and even medibuntu) should not distribute. Supermmx modified the SDK available on the monkey audio home page to create mac-port. The SDK has a funky license that does not appear to be GPL compatible. Supermmx wanted to put his version on sourceforge so he told sourceforge it was under the LGPL. But the lgpl and the funky license appear to incompatible. Sourceforge has dropped the project. No indication why but I would guess it's due to license problems. Here are some discussions about the license problem: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21858st=0 The funky custom license is here: http://www.monkeysaudio.com/license.html I think gentoo and debian have already decided not to distribute. It would be really nice if Matthew T. Ashland decided to release his SDK under a widely accepted license. (Such as BSD?) Matt if you read this please chose one from the top of http://www.opensource.org/licenses/category . But it's your code and if you want to invent your own funky license that we can't make sense out of then it's up to you. I don't think anybody can safely distribute this code until the SDK is released under a less funky license. And mac-port might be dead no matter what happens. [Bug 81722] Re: Laptop sometimes fails to resume from ACPI S3 suspend
I've disabled SAVE_VBE_STATE, POST_VIDEO and USE_DPMS in /etc/default /acpi-support a week ago. System: PackardBell V7908, Centrino Duo, Feisty Fawn; symptom: never powered off. Some time ago I went through a buggy installation of FUSE, that messed up with my sudoers file, preventing many modules to load at startup: Alsa Audio (hda-intel), Intel Wifi (ipw3945) and so. Norbert, thanks for answering. I tried to emphasize that debian/patches/30_poppler_new is likely to suffer from this error, since the original tgz does not use this class at all. [Bug 94310] Re: Input problems in Kate save file dialog
Steps to reproduce (and notes): 1. Open shell, and type: $ export LANG=en_US.UTF-8 $ scim # turn it on, basically $ [EMAIL PROTECTED] kate 2. a) Press Ctrl+S. Press 's' a few times. Results: No characters appear. b) Dismiss the save dialog with Alt+F4 c) Repeat step (a) to observe some pattern (but there isn't -- see notes) d) Dismiss kate 3. On the shell, type: $ XMODIFIERS= kate 4. a) Press Ctrl+S. Press 's' a few times. Results: ... appear in the save dialog Note: 1. Results may be sporadic. Try to press Ctrl+S immediately after kate starts up. Avoid typing anything else in the kate text box. 2. If it happens the first time, it may not happen the second time. But it can happen on the fourth try, 13th try, etc. It's random! 3. The entire SCIM toolbar (English/Keyboard, 智能拼音, etc.) must be hidden to achieve this. -- Input problems in Kate save file dialog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/94310 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
