I was talking to Jeroen but if you have the 100.14.11 driver and have a
compiz crash lock your whole system then the driver is to blame for the
system lockup. This crash appears to have something to do with session
management and the ccp plugin.

Nvidia disable the reinitialisation code in their video BIOS after boot.
Since that's the only way we can reinitialise the video without using
the binary nvidia driver, graphics can't be reinitialised. Fixing this
requires nvidia to document the sequence needed to reinitialise the
graphics
We have not received any duplicates for some time. Thus, this crash was
likely due to some unique plugin extension combination or has been fixed
in the meantime. Please, reopen it at any time if you have more related
info.

I've attached the Crash Report. In my initial Bug Description, I
included parts of the Crash Report (the Crash Report is over 9MB) the
Backtrace.
Thunderbird works fine, until I try to 1) Send a new email or 2) Reply
to an email send.
I am able to Compose an email with no issue.
This is because you are using the 2.6.20-16-386 kernel. The -386 kernel
deliberately does not support multiple cores, since some of the drivers
included are not safe on multiple cores. You should be using the
-generic kernel, which does support multiple cores. Install the linux-
generic package
OK, final resolution: gstreamer0.10-x wasn't installed, and so there
were no video sinks available, and so things were crashing. This may be
a fault in the distro upgrade tool?

I've had same problem as AllesMeins. DVD burning was working fine with
Dapper and Edgy but became unreliable and cause system freeze 1 time out
2 tries. Some times the system just froze, sometimes it would freeze for
a dozen of seconds then came back for 1 sec then froze again for a dozen

I've the same error, I think the missing file should be dynamically created by
amule or amuleweb, but that file cannot be created and/or found. My system is a
Kubuntu Feisty on amd64 x2 cpu.

I wasn't sure how the bug process works, and didn't realize there was a
follow up until I checked my email. I am not sure what the difference
is, but what I ended up doing was adding Option AddARGBGLXVisuals
True to my xorg.conf directly. (I am knew to Linux.)

Similar problem here with LiteOn drive. No issue with reading discs but
burning would cause the system to freeze. disc burning on the same
system was working fine with Dapper and Edgy.
