I believe that there is just a bug. The CPU load is too high for an
indexing daemon. If you compare it with Tracker or Google desktop on the
same PC you will see that these ones are much more lighter.

There's no qtrc file in the /etc/qt3 directory, only qt_plugins_3.3rc
and this file doesn't contain above data.
The bug is actually filled for qt-x11-free package but that package
isn't in the ubuntu repositories. I think
I can confirm this bug on laptop HP nx8220.

i have a Compiz Fusion Bug in the Gutsy Beta
For example: If I use the update manager, type in the root password, the
password window disaapears. But there remains a transparent window which
I only can remove by turning off an on the Compiz effects.

I confirm the existence of that bug. More people experienced the same
problems in the duplicate bug #119990.
Fonts are big and ugly in HPLIP and VirtualBox, running Ubuntu Gutsy
with all updates.
