There's plenty of files indexed as shown below, but the search tools
don't seem to be picking them up. If I use the GUI search too, and
search for 'joss', I get 166 emails returned. That's all. With the
command line, I get nothing.

I got the same trouble with Gutsy, but I figured out that, when I Close or
Umount the SSH connections, Nautilus comes down to normal.
It looks like Nautilus tries to keep the SSH connections alive spending 100% of

Ah, I recall that install attempt. It failed repeatedly and I did try other
hard drives to install to. As I had wiped my system I reluctantly reverted
back to Windows XP in the end as I had only burnt the one Ubuntu disc and
couldn't install from that and had no other operating systems lying

Same problem here but with another Ubuntu Client. And also with a OS-X Client.
The first screen is displayed, but no refresh, even in the first screen. the
second screen remains totally black.
If I disable Xinerama on the remote machine everything works fine.
