I confirm the bug. Downgrading ia32-libs fixed flash. However, it will
auto-upgrade to newest ia32-libs again on next apt upgrade for me, so I
will need to do this every time or make an exception for ia32-libs. On
a side note, how does one make such exceptions these days?

I have upgraded to Ubuntu 7.10 (2008-01-13) and got this (old) bug.
The kernel 2.6.22-14-386 is never booting for me.
If I use the kernel 2.6.20-16-386 it works as expected.
The boot is stuck when the window with the Ubuntulogo is opening.

Regarding my last post, my wireless network card is still detected and
modules are loaded for it after resume, but KNetworkManager does not see
the network interface. I have only upgraded the kernel, haven't upgraded

and transform it to a xsetting which should work, reassigning. Does the
setting work in GNOME applications? Trying with nautilus on hardy the
setting is correctly used there

Please sync gtkdialog 2:0.7.20-3 (universe) from Debian unstable
(main).
Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:
I just want to add my support to this for whatever it is worth. I would
even suggest branching Kubuntu in a KDE4 flavor and a stable KDE 3.5
distro instead of messing with the well working and stable Kubuntu I
use.

No, it really is an undo. You can undo almost all changes at the
partitioning stage including creating a new partition table
(essentially, any changes unless it explicitly tells you that you
*can't* undo something), and then go ahead and perform partitioning a
different way. This is not the same
