I installed MythTV first time yesterday (from repository). Setup failed
because mythtv user was not added into mysql users and database
mythconverg was not created.
After creating user and db manually I was able to continue the setup
process and go the MythTV up and running.

- create device missing:
mknod -m 0660 /dev/hdb 3 64

If it helps at all, I'm also impacted by this bug. How do we get it
bumped up in priority?
Especially troubling as you now cannot use pptpconfig either as it's
deprecated and needs libraries not available in hardy. So, I'm now not
able to use wifi at work at all. Bummer.

Public bug reported:
A page containing a select with multiple selectable options won't work.
The options are selected by clicking on them but they are deselected as
soon as you click out of the select widget or do the submit. The result
is that NO options are ever selected when the form is

Thanks a lot for trying to reproduce the bug. Okay, so apparently after
yesterday updates, the bug is gone. I say apparently because I also
activated the quick starter of open office, though, now if I quit the
quick starter and double click on a document, it seams to start okay. I
EzNet and Scanaza,
let me try to help you a bit.
Can you please tellme exactly the hardware you have on your computer,
the xorg.conf file, the nvidia driver installed (newer or older) and the
content of the file /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-kernel-nkc?
