7.10 installation doesn't work with MSI
Couldn't get anything working (went into failsafe mode in 800x600) when
doing dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg so I ran it with an empty
xorg.conf instead. Hope it helps.

Problem
Some experiments later, I found out that the freezes are triggered by
cpufreq switches. As long as the ondemand governor is active, it freezes
on every frequency switch. When I lock the CPU frequency e.g. to 2.80
GHz, I can work fine without any freezes, and XRandR works again.

I've got a similar issue EVEN without nspluginwrapper installed, using swfdec
and epiphany.
Only disabling flash altogether removes the problem.
