I ran the Live-CD version of the 64 bit version of Ubuntu 9.04 as an
experiment to see if the problem existed there also. This bug is NOT
present in the 64-bit version. I can easily create a networked printer
resident on a Windows XP machine on amb64 Ubunto 9.04.

Tried your example on both a fresh Ubuntu 8.10 and a fresh Ubuntu 9.04.
In both cases I actually ended up with the a grey scaled result.
Not so sure if this is an upstream issue, considering that both Ubuntu

Exactly the same here as it was for Giancaldo: backtrace using screen
impossible as networking does not return.
I also enabled drm debug during a suspend/attempted-resume cycle. There
are no messages in kern.log or syslog from drm after suspend until the
machine is hard-rebooted.

Description: Unsupported resolutions listed after VGA fix driver
installed on 17, 18.5, and 19 systems.
Steps to replicate:
1. Install the system with Ubuntu 8.10 OS (DELL-reinstall).
2. Install the VGA driver fix packages with the following sequence:

Not sure how you're not finding 0.6.1-0ubuntu5 as it's the current version in
Jaunty.
