Re: [Bug 207072] Re: nautilus does not display samba shares for machines inside an ADS network.
it really would be nice to able to configure the Domain-Server or Workgroup of a MS-Net when you install Ubuntu or be able to search it automatically. The ADS integration of the hardy box was done using winbind, kerberos and PAM libraries, essentially as described here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ActiveDirectoryWinbindHowto The network contains mostly windows clients, but also several linux boxes, which were joined to the ADS domain with the command: 'net ads join'. Machines running windows XP, windows 2003 and samba show '0 objects' in nautilus, but after inserting the complete path (eg.: smb://server/share) the folders can be accessed after the password prompt. There were 2 other tabs open not including Hotmail (1 for bugs.kde.org, 1 for kubuntu.org). Konqueror began to hang during the sign-in process after I had submitted my username/password to the site. The following paragraph was included: The application Jockey () crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV). Please help us improve the software you use by filing a report at http://bugs.kde.org. Useful details include how to reproduce the error, documents that were loaded, etc. *The details are posted at the end of this report.* Immediately after the Error pop-up, Konqueror resumed normally. I was able to complete my hotmail activities and log out. Konqueror remained in use for another 10 to 15 minutes before crashing. [Bug 399613] [NEW] Can't enable 'zaphod mode' with intel X server
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel The intel X server driver no longer supports separate X screens on multiple outputs (so called Zaphod Mode). This is a regression error as previous versions of the driver supported this. [Bug 399612] [NEW] Tastiera e mousepad non funzionano piu
