[Bug 428813] [NEW] package slapd 2.4.15-1ubuntu3 failed to install : subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported: I got slapd installed with suffix dc=example, dc=com, which was not what we needed. [Bug 425265] Re: dsf
Thank you for using Ubuntu and taking the time to report a bug. Your report should contain, at a minimum, the following information so we can better find the source of the bug and work to resolve it. Submitting the bug about the proper source package is essential. For help see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . Additionally, in the report please include: 1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System - About Ubuntu. 2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by checking in Synaptic. 3) What happened and what you expected to happen. The Ubuntu community has also created debugging procedures for a wide variety of packages at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures . Following the debugging instructions for the affected package will make your bug report much more complete. [Bug 425922] Re: Eucalyptus component registration process is manual
I'm not sure that there is a good way to tell from a script whether they have been registered, but I can say that the registration command is idempotent. [Bug 429087] [NEW] after UEC front-end (cluster) install, key sync stage of registration cannot proceed without entering a password

[Bug 429169] [NEW] ec2: Include kernel modules in AMIs
You have been subscribed to a public bug: It is fairly standard practice to include kernel modules in images for Amazon EC2, but the most recent Karmic AMIs do not include them: ami-a40fefcd canonical-alphas-us/karmic-i386-alpha5.1.manifest.xml ami-a20fefcb canonical-alphas-us/karmic-x86_64-alpha5.1.manifest.xml099720109477 Some other options have been discussed like building kernel modules into the kernel or copying them from initrd into /lib/modules at boot time, but the easiest approach to get things working in the short term is probably just to follow the existing de facto standard and include the kernel modules for the AMI's default kernel. If somebody wants to run it with a different kernel, they are already used to having to install those kernel modules themselves. [Bug 301035] Re: Place an Ubuntu icon/emblem on the system partition
Marcus , the current patch upstream is not right , its a workaround. pls read comment #20. The work needs to be done as you have described [new naming], If it is absolutely essential to get this done in Karmic , it is easier to edit the gnome-dev-harddisk icon to have a logo than applying the current upstream patch! Also, you havent added your patch upstream, Why ? And does upstream have a provision for feature freeze exceptions? [Bug 427463] Re: FFe: Sync java-gnome 4.0.13-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)
@Stefan, The bug you mentioned is not actually a bug in java-gnome. The doc generation process in java-gnome tries to take screenshots of some demo apps running with help of xvfb. This screenshot generation triggers a problem in glib when using old kernels (which seem to be the case on Debian buildd). Another similar bug is http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=543587 This failure should not happen on Ubuntu buildd. In case it does, I will simply disable screenshot generation for that arch. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #543587 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=543587 -- FFe: Sync java-gnome 4.0.13-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/427463 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Scott Howard , Since update gnome-power-manager (2.27.91-0ubuntu1) to 2.27.92-0ubuntu1 I havent seen the blanking *but* , i still [very often] get the notification area icon with a tooltip that says Session active, not inhibited, screen idle.
