I also have a Dell E1705, and a similar problem...my LFE volume is maxed
on boot up. After login, I can reduce the LFE volume with ALSA mixer

I just installed Kubuntu in a VirtualBox environment, but I can't

Simply clicking a jpeg in Nautilus causes this crash for me. If Gqview
is already running I can open jpegs just fine. Having Gqview as the
default picture viewer to open jpegs from Nautilus crashes Gqview
everytime.

I had enormous problems trying to install Adobe flash plugin on Jaunty, and
gave up in the end. Even after learning how to unblock synaptic and try again,
it just wouldn't download even if I used the terminal.
The same thing is happening in 9.10

Could somebody update the digiKam package to 1.0.0beta6? The upstream
bug is marked resolved/fixed, with the submitter claiming that
1.0.0.beta6 worked for him.
