The original point of this bug is that initscript have code for killing
MySQL but this code is disabled in rather strange way (by putting
log_end_msg 1, see the first post). I think this code should be disabled

Franky - even if it's the same chipset the parameters you need may not be the
same as in #84. Take a look at the output of lspci -nnv - you should be able
to confirm that the card does use an ICE1712 chipset and also confirm the
parameters. You need to know:
vendor
device
subsystem_vendor

In karmic, the auto-install of a USB-plugged HP LaserJet 1300 will configure it
with the wrong driver: HP LaserJet 1300 Series Postscript [en] (recommended)
With that driver, printing is more than random: I could print 2 pages out
ACKed.

same things on eee pc 1005ha with kubuntu lucid (2.6.32-4-generic).
sometimes (looks like absolute random) the screen gets filled with one
color (usually black, but can be any other). the system is still
functional, but the display is useless. can be cured by any type of
power cycle. i use
