Ubuntu 9.10 with gnome / desktop and it's got the 'nis' package on it that is
described as 'client and daemons' so it's able to be a NIS slave server. However
nothing references it so it's acting purely as a client of the site's NIS

We are limited a single NTP upstream source due to political reasons
outside our control and our Ubuntu ntpd loses sync periodically. I
tried a number of solutions but they all failed. When I tried setting
the ntpd server's nice value to negative eight it just works. Clearly

As far as I can tell, my database files are not corrupted, and yet the
installation failed anyway.
I explicitly stopped MySQL with the following command:
sudo /etc/init.d/mysql stop
then tried the upgrade again, and it still failed with the same message

I had try an apt-get remove mysql-server an apt-get install mysql-server,

flag or the pkcs11 patch mentioned in this bug?

I too faced this issue, last time my MySQL somehow got updated and I wasn't
able to login to MySQL server. MySQL db was corrupted, I had to kill MySQL
and then run mysqlupgrade script. Do I reply to your email or comment on
bugs.launchpad? I just noticed your email.

I think you are refering to the Host header in HTTP as a way of co-
locating multiple services. In the context of the current Eucalyptus
system this isn't possible to support without the use of the DNS
service. For example, virtual bucket hosting in S3 already works this

cups 1.4.1 in ubuntu 9.10 defaults to duplex on everything. Setting manually to
simplex does not fix.
