According to the upstream bug report, this is fixed in version 0.12.4
however I am unsure of the exact commit that resolved it. Although I

This bug is about qemu's option, if it's not a bug in qemu then this is
a bug in libvirt for using this option. As for the selinux and apparmor
issues these are bugs in my solution and have nothing to do with the bug
being reported, but instead are related to one of it's /incomplete/
solutions.
I'm afraid I'm still having some issues. I'm most likely just missing
some subtle thing entirely...
I edited the apparmor profile, and the vm starts just fine. I update the
memory with both setmaxmem and setmem, however, a virsh dominfo qa-matt
still yields:

I got this same error. I did have a previously working vm. I did set
hostname.
I am working on Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit.
I moved ubuntu-kvm.
mv ubuntu-kvm old-ubuntu-kvm
I also moved othost.xml
sudo mv /etc/libvirt/qemu/othost.xml oldothost.xml
After killing libvirtd it worked.
$ sudo
That was simple add the following to the apparmor file:
/usr/bin/qemu-original rmix,
/bin/sed rmix,
/tmp/sh-thd-* rw,
Also the dmsg statements that apparmor makes are not recognized by the
SELinux ppl, they should all indicate from whence they hail.

It's valid. It's used to tell qemu's extboot option rom to boot from the
given device. It's the only way to boot from e.g. virtio devices (since
they are not handled by the BIOS in qemu).

is the private address, in this case, remained valid. I can connect via
the private address.
I tried to connect then release with the intent of connect the original
ip address of 192.168.3.100 but in both cases got the error

The VM is running 32-bit Windows 7, which does have a driver for the ac97
virtual sound card.
This same VM *did* produce sound on Karmic and on Jaunty.

upgrade from Hardy broke my working qemu setup, running a win98 image. This is
referred to in bug # 521994. To get the qemu working again, I removed (with
aptitude)

I would say that this brings Nvidia 96 driver to the top of the list as
the likely culprit. I do not have to do any user switching at all. Just
a logout from the intitial session (kde or fluxbox), passing control
back to KDM will cause the issue. Xorg.log does not contain any
indication of what
I don't think this is a grace issue only. This is an X server issue.
Unfortunaly there hasn't been a new release from Ubuntu yet.

Well, I just went to shut that system down and the bug is back.
Currently running the Nouveau driver. This time there is no high CPU
use. I did not have to kill Xorg but I did sudo /etc/init.d/kdm restart
to get my screen back. So it is some issue with the logout transition. I
can help test more

Hi, I have the same problem. Everything works smoothly on Windows but
after rebooting to Ubuntu camera becomes very slowed down in Cheese. It
eats almost 100% of my CPU and outputs 0.5 fps.
