automatically, and what you are asking is for the startup scripts to wait for
two minutes after boot before starting the VMs?

the setup. Fragmentation of the disc have a negative effect on this bug.

I'm seeing the same issue also with a Lenovo T61 (nVidia Quadro 140M).
Running Lucid 10.4 64bits.
I'm running Gnome + xfwm4 (Compositor enabled)
I see this happening with Avant-Window-Navigator icons and some in the taskbar
area, usually the volume icon.
It also happens to scramble icons inside
