On my lucid install ipmi_si seems to autoload, but ipmi_devintf doesn't.
Loading ipmi_devintf is enough to have /dev/ipmi0 created and ipmitool then

databases before, so the workaround given might be a little misleading.
MySQL can actually be stuck waiting on a single query to finish before

the kernel module patching and installation as tnf described in comment
#33. If the modem is not recognized I have to
$sudo rmmod qcserial
$sudo modprobe qcserial
$sudo killall modem-manager
to get it recognized and listed

I don't speak russian (?), but this looks like a corrupt archive. likely
an error in dpkg, and apport shouldn't offer to report this one

Sorry about your problem. To fix it, please open up a Terminal
(ApplicationsAccessoriesTerminal) and type in:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
Then it should ask for your password, please type it in and don't worry
you won't receive any visual feedback.

Hi,
I have the exact same problem as Rajidner Sandhu with NVidia GeForce4 MX4000.
Desktop doesn´t work, my shortcuts disappeared but everything else from panels
and windows go well, and I get no Plymouth boot screen. Though, I´m not using
Kubuntu.
Compiz does not work either.
