Myself and a friend have both had to use Samba with IP addresses, until
I found that by restarting nmbd, name resolution works again. (Ubuntu
10.04).
My machine automatically logs in. I don't use the network manager
applet; I have DHCPd running on my server and use bridging.

I have tested ubuntu amd64 desktop 20100824 on a qemu-kvm VM and i have
reproduced the bug, gdm don't start, but in a real hardware Live session and
Installation from DVD (image size too large for CD) i cannot reproduce it
because it simply works as expected, Live session works

I thought maybe it should. tgt is pretty useless in Lucid without an
upstart job, isn't it?

I tested running as non-root with QRT and it is ok. I had some funky logic in
there regarding save/restore tests that had to be adjusted so the
libvirt-qemu:kvm user could write to the save directory I created. After fixing

I'd just like to add a me too comment. I have re-installed my Ubuntu,
copied my id_dsa into ~/.ssh. Its annoying that I no longer get the gui
prompt to enter my password which is then cached. I have to unlock my
key, every single time I go to log into a host with ssh.

The phone is connected to the computer via the usb cable provided with
it in the PC Suite Mode. I have tried other connection modes
available as well but the result is the same every time. In fact i
installed vsftpd 2.3.2 from source available on the homepage and yet the
result is the same. So I
