Public bug reported: Binary package hint: qemu-kvm A new VM install of Windows XP Pro SP2 successfully completes the blue (text-based) install phase, reboots, and stays at the XP boot splash screen with progress bars flowing under the logo. No disk activity occurs, CPU usage is pegged at 100%, and no errors or other information is displayed. Defining an identical VM in virt-manager using qemu instead of kvm proceeds as expected. Obviously, rather slow, but will test to see if VM runs when the original kvm VM is launched once setup is complete. Hi Dave, thanks for your report and logs. this is strange, since there is only a minor libusb update, which seems not to break compatibility. but the fact is that AC_CHECK_FUNCS doesn't find usb_init() anymore, so there is actually something wrong. I'm currently busy preparing 2.6.0, so don't have much time to investigate. can you please also send a config.log for analysis? This error is due to a change in Ant 1.8.1 which removes the ant- trax.jar from the distribution as TRaX is now included in the Java Runtime Environment. Alain, I meant Invalid in Upstart, and I'm sorry for the confusion. There is no doubt in my mind that the ssh.conf needs some changes, and should be fixed going back to Lucid. The notion of pidfiles is generally rejected by the upstart community because daemons don't get this right. If the emulated devices (i.e. the real sda) is not unplugged, there is a device name clash. The emulated devices cannot be unplugged on xen 3.3 (because it doesn't support it), but unless you pass unplug=unnecessary, it won't actually allow the PV drivers, so you lose PV support. On 3.4 and onwards you might pass unplug=unnecessary anyway to get consistent device mapping with xen 2.6.18 supplied kernel, in which case you will get the device name clash. 2. I can confirm that this problem is still happening. If you change from dhcp to an static IP, nmbd won't start anymore. The problem did NOT solve after restarting samba. I checked the common packages, and both were installed already (samba-common and samba-common-bin).
