I all so appear to be getting this error. I have enabled 'debug level =
3' in my smb.conf so am waiting for another error to get some more
information. It happens a random amount of times a day. It appears to

As can be seen in the attached screenshot, the content of the Guake terminal is

It can be, that your problem is other then mine, then the bugs should be
seperated.
The problem here was, that the client booted over nfs doesn't close the
connection to the nbd-server when rebooting or shutdown.

I've got the exact same bug (Lenovo E320); I tried nearly all the solutions
provided in the ubuntu forums concerning bugs like these but nothing helped.

Phillip, you are exactly right. I just remembered that there was another
bug during the installation of 10.04.1 - I was installing from a USB
flash disk. The installer was using /dev/sda instead of
/dev/mapper/isw_ecdhgaacgh_Volume0, so I had to do some tricks in the
console to get it working.
