[Bug 902448] [NEW] Invisible window controls on second monitor unexpectedly close window on first monitor
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Get a dual monitor setup (two monitors, side by side) 2. Maximise a window on the left monitor (for example Firefox) 3. Make sure the left hand window is focused 4. Move your mouse to the left of the panel on the right hand monitor 5. Click, and the window on the first monitor will close Optional extra: As well as maximising a window on the first monitor, maximise a window on the second monitor. [Bug 889706] Re: Gnome-shell randomly crashes
@christian-vion : by clean install, do you mean that you did not install any updates ? [Bug 682788] Re: Global menu is not ergonomical on large screens
Click to focus is the only supported focus model in 11.10 (and older releases?). In the same sense as having a global menu bar isn't an option anymore, click to focus isn't an option either. I've use focus follows mouse and autoraise for about 20 years, and I'll go to some lengths to configure my system so as to be able continue to use it... Global menus don't sit well with such a configuration - so to be able to configure them off (or limited) would be good. And I also quite Manny's suggestion of #106. More generally (and probably off topic) I somewhat lament the trend towards non-configurability in today's desktops. They look pretty, and work to the design team's vision of how a desktop should be, but not all users share that vision in all respects. I suppose I should write my own to suit myself, but really, all I want to do is edit a config file to make the desktop comfortable for me, and get on with my work.. /rant -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/682788 Title: Global menu is not ergonomical on large screens To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/682788/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 887309] Re: PCI/internal sound card detected but device not created
Hi, I've read the manual of module assistant and I find the way to modify source. But if I try to build it manually (without m-a) it failed because of missing included files. I think it's not the good solution. If I build it with m-a it failed because of missing linux/smp_lock.h. For that, I think that alsa-source package is not good because with a google search I find that big lock has been removed from kernel. So smp_lock.h should not be included on drivers code. I've tried to build from git the last sources of alsa-driver... And the build finished successfully... but all modules seems to be broken and I cannot load it. So I have to wait for your help. [Bug 902468] [NEW] acpi-support/policy-funcs not checking for gnome-settings-daemon
Public bug reported: As of acpid version 1:2.0.10-1ubuntu2.3, the script /usr/share/acpi- support/policy-funcs implements a CheckPolicy function that checks if some well-known power managers are running. In particular, it checks if gnome-power-manager is running. However, in the GNOME 3, there is no longer a gnome-power-manager daemon, whose functions have been merged into gnome-settings-daemon. So, policy-funcs should check for a running gnome-settings-daemon as well. Trivial patch attached. ** Affects: acpid (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: oneiric -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/902468 Title: acpi-support/policy-funcs not checking for gnome-settings-daemon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpid/+bug/902468/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 898532] Re: Some characters replaced by others when converting PDF to PostScript
Hi Till, Got the updates from Proposed this morning and installed them. Right now I can not reproduce the missing characters any more, there are no small 'empty squares' in my documents. Great, thanx! However documents that are set up for landscape will now have the content set at 90 degrees to the paper, no matter what output setting I choose in the printing menu. Should I open a new bug report for that? cheers Tom -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/898532 Title: Some characters replaced by others when converting PDF to PostScript To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gs-gpl/+bug/898532/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
