[Bug 863154] Re: Wacom Bamboo One tablet random coordinate malfunctions
I experienced the same issue on 11.10 (kernel 3.0.0-15-generic) with Gimp 2.6.11 under the default window manager. At the same time that I was running Gimp, I had a VirtualBox session running in seamless mode (guest OS application windows appear in the host OS's window manager directly). [Bug 722762] Re: zeitgeist-daemon using ~100% of CPU
Below are the steps I've used to resolve my problem for now. path to files = /home/{user}/.local/share/zeitgeist/ Short version: * I overwrote /home/dbyrd/.local/share/zeitgeist/* then shutdown my PC via the menu. Upon boot the CPU issue was absent. * zeitgeist daemon cpu usage now equals 0.0 % More detail: 1. The sqlliteman app (sqlite manager - in ubuntu software center) was used to open an old backup copy of activity.sqlite (activity.sqlite.bck). The backup sqlite database was easily opened and seemed functional. Next I tried to open the activity.sqlite database and I received a corrupt file warning from the sqlliteman app. 2. I backed-up the entire local zeitgeist folder for posterity. 3. I restored my zeitgiest folder overwriting all files in the folder(s). See path above. 4. Full Shutdown. Cold boot. 5. The symptoms of the bug are currently absent. My current zeitgeist daemon cpu usuage is 0.0 % via htop. Previously htop reported the daemon at 85%-99% CPU for hours on end. [Bug 864739] Re: Ubuntu doesn't work on HP Elitebook 8560w
Please note that the 8560w may have the NVidia Quadro 1000 (with the Optimus feature...) or the AMD M5950 graphic card (no optimus). I think that the nouveau.modeset=0 patch is strictly NVidia related. So may be that the different behaviours reported may be related to a different hardware configuration. It should be better to report the exact graphic card used. [Bug 905902] [NEW] Changing wallpaper takes too much ressource
Public bug reported: When i'm going to play games e.g. in Browser or native then i need to turn off wallch before. Otherwise everytime Wallch is changing Wallpapers in the background the games will slow down. [Bug 881746] Re: Oracle (Sun) Java JRE/JDK 6: Update 26 has critical security vulnerabilities, fixed in Update 29
The security issues have most definitely *not* been fixed! 6.26-2 is a minor fix, and only repairs a bug in the alternatives system for amd64. It's still 6u26, and it's still insecure. [Bug 905789] Re: PH0sFN
Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Ubuntu 9.04 reached EOL on October 23, 2010. Please see this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases Furthermore, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Bug 885086] Re: XDG Desktop item not translated on Oneric Live CD
I can see this too. I found the following facts: - if you run xdg-user-dirs-update after removing the .config/user-dirs.dirs file, it regenerates it without translating the ~/Desktop name, but everything else is translated. - if you run xdg-user-dirs-update --force, the ~/Desktop name is translated too. - /etc/X11/Xsession.d/60xdg-user-dirs-update runs xdg-user-dirs-update without the --force option. ** Attachment added: Screenshot of the problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+bug/885086/+attachment/2638128/+files/885086-confirmed.png ** Also affects: xdg-user-dirs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: xdg-user-dirs (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/885086 Title: XDG Desktop item not translated on Oneric Live CD To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+bug/885086/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
