Okay, I can remove as many temporary files as possible. I'm not sure
which temporary files you're still worried about, though. I thought that
the way I have it temp files are only used by root if they are created
by root. For instance, setnextalarm.py is only ever called by root.

Installer. I attempted to activate the Broadcom driver and was presented

I rebooted computer and resumed my work and the mouse froze up again.

Sorry, but PinguyOS is not the same as Ubuntu 11.10. If it were, there
would be no need for PinguyOS. If you're getting crashes, perhaps try
without the extra extensions PinguyOS uses.
The crash you're getting might be a graphics driver problem. fglrx in
particular doesn't work 100% yet.
