[Bug 957727] [NEW] apr: update to 1.4.6 to fix svn fsfs repository corruption
Public bug reported: APR releases before 1.4.6 have a faulty truncate() implementation that can cause svn fsfs repository corruption. The next release of svn 1.6.x has a workaround for the issue, see: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=revisionrevision=1240892 But since svn added the workaround, APR released 1.4.6 which has the fix in it: http://www.apache.org/dist/apr/CHANGES-APR-1.4 So updating to 1.4.6 will resolve any corruption issues in svn (due to this issue). [Bug 957727] Re: apr: update to 1.4.6 to fix svn fsfs repository corruption
Also affects oneiric and lucid. For oneiric and precise, it would be great just to update to 1.4.6 since it's ABI compatible. For lucid, one could take these two commits from apr's trunk and apply them to the 1.3.x branch. [Bug 911436] Re: https crashed with SIGSEGV in lookup_or_create_bucket()
Bug #933973 has been named a duplicate of this one. Not sure why but I will post this here as that bug is not confirmed. Had upgrades for the same packages today in Xubuntu 12.04 and in Debian Wheezy. The Xubuntu packages, all related to cups and bluez will not install in a chroot environment. They will install fine when I boot into the OS and run dpkg --configure -a. The same packages install under Wheezy. They did hang for a short while today and throw a message that they could not access the gnome keyring or the /temp/keyring. I have another install of Wheezy that has the gnome keyring install as it started life as vanilla Squeeze (gnome). It is now running xfce like the other 2 OS's I have mentioned. The upgrades had no trouble at all there. My theory has always been that this is an install script problem. I feel that these result indicate just that. Debian has put some exceptions in their script to get around thes problem with just the warning of non access. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/911436 Title: https crashed with SIGSEGV in lookup_or_create_bucket() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt/+bug/911436/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 59695] Re: High frequency of load/unload cycles on some hard disks may shorten lifetime
But the head parking is part of the normal drive operation. So why avoid it? It's actually beneficial as it unloads the head, thus protecting the disk from shocks (and saving some power). [Bug 957727] [NEW] apr: update to 1.4.6 to fix svn fsfs repository corruption

[Bug 912941] Re: Broadcom 4331 is not supported
Dear Marco, after many trials I am not able to apply your solution. I have a macbook pro 15'' of December 2011 (8.2? 8.3?). I feel absolutely frustrated with the broadcom 4331. After several re- installations of ubuntu 12.04 alpha, beta, I just got working (miraculously) the wireless after some patching + update, but it messed up afterwards and I had to reinstall from scratch. No more luck afterwards. I see linux-backports-modules-cw-3.2-3.0.0-14-generic in one of your subdirectories but I dont know how to load it ( when I try sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-cw-3.2-3.0.0-14-generic it isn't found) I would extramely appreciate any help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/912941 Title: Broadcom 4331 is not supported To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/b43-fwcutter/+bug/912941/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 330656] Re: manual package selection displays dpkg output
My current idea is that we could do this by running 'aptitude --schedule-only' via the terminal plugin, To clarify, '--schedule-only' is only intended for command-line actions. It has no effect on the interactive mode, you are better to just run 'aptitude' and not deceive yourself about the (non-)effects of the argument. [Bug 957746] [NEW] ubuntu-defaults-builder: setting language does not take effect
Public bug reported: Steps taken: $ ubuntu-default-template test modify test/i18n/langpacks.txt and language.txt to only contain 'nl' (for Dutch). $ dpkg-buildpackage $ ubuntu-defaults-builder --package test*.deb The problem: The resulting image does have Dutch installed as a language, but not set as default (I check the gnome language selector in the live environment).
