[Bug 1132526] Re: invaild encoding with .kr and .xn--3e0b707e domains
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You haven't reported the version of whois that you are using. Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal: apport-collect 1132526 When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu- bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs. Once you have provided full information about this bug, please change the bug status back to New. [Bug 1131979] Re: undefined reference to `curl_global_init' when building libvirtd
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I can't reproduce this problem with sbuild using a raring chroot. My build succeeds, so I don't see a problem with the libvirt source. Build log attached. Have you tried using sbuild, or run apt-get build-dep libvirt? libvirt version 1.0.2-0ubuntu7 only exists in raring, so is only expected to work in raring. Are you using raring? I understand the problem you're having, but since this package can be built using standard tools (sbuild), this is not a bug in Ubuntu and so I'm marking this bug as Invalid. If you need help getting a build to work on your own system and in your own environment, this bug tracker isn't really the right venue to get help. There are a list of community support resources available at http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community. In this case askubuntu.com or the appropriate mailing list would be suitable. ** Attachment added: libvirt_1.0.2-0ubuntu7_amd64.build https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1131979/+attachment/3545841/+files/libvirt_1.0.2-0ubuntu7_amd64.build ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libvirt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1131979 Title: undefined reference to `curl_global_init' when building libvirtd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1131979/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

I modified update_dhcp funciton in nova/network/linux_net.py , so it would be something like : def update_dhcp(context, dev, network_ref): (Re)starts a dnsmasq server for a given network. If a dnsmasq instance is already running then send a HUP signal causing it to reload, otherwise spawn a new instance. network = network-%s % str(network_ref['id']) conffile = _dhcp_file(network, 'conf') So it can bring up a dnsmasq instance for each network, hoever, it doesn't work either, maybe cause it had listen on the same bridge of two dnsmasq. [Bug 954030] Re: Container Sync and Keystone
Howdy folks, Trying to get container sync working (Swift 1.7.6) across two isolated Swift clusters sharing a central keystone and having some issues. I could be wrong but I'd say the official documentation doesn't cover container syncing with keystone auth enabled only: http://docs.openstack.org/developer/swift/overview_container_sync.html As a matter of fact, Rackspace mentions that syncing code may need patching to support keystone style auth: http://www.rackspace.com/knowledge_center/article/syncing-private-cloud- swift-containers-to-rackspace-cloud-files They state that Rackspace isn't using keystone for auth so you need patching to have the feature but the referenced patch: https://github.com/dani4571/swift/commit/9fb626e39b2345215c821e192629a28a966b4200 appears to be using some sort of keystone style auth I think (rackspace_auth method). Tracing received requests in one of the clusters I can see that syncing requests end up with a 401 and the 'Unauth' log message (HTTP_UNAUTHORIZED). Am I missing something perhaps? Haven't been able to find up to date documentation on the subject. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to keystone in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/954030 Title: Container Sync and Keystone To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/keystone/+bug/954030/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1131115] Re: php5-fpm crashed with SIGSEGV in munmap()
Thanks for your reply. The link to the upstream bug is very helpful, and I appreciate that you had attached the crash report. no specific steps or actions from my side at all. What we're after is an explanation of how to reproduce the bug. If you'd like an update to 12.10, then we need exact steps that others can follow to ensure that the problem is fixed before an update is issued. If I do nothing on a freshly installed 12.10 server, then clearly nothing will crash. So what precisely do I need to do to cause a crash on my screen? Do you see what I mean? The link How to report bugs effectively I provided above explains this better. [Bug 1132302] Re: drbd8-utils are not compatible with kernel 3.8
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I have reproduced the problem on raring and prepared an updated package. I first hoped that Now builds on Linux-3.7 from the 8.3.15 changelog entry would fix this problem, but I had the same problem. Then I tried 8.4.3 (latest upstream), and this seems to work fine (except for the warning that the kernel module is at 8.4.2). I've uploaded my test 8.4.3 package build to my experimental PPA (https://launchpad.net/~racb/+archive/experimental/). Please could you test the package from here and check that it is fully functional? Should I be using 8.4.2 instead of 8.4.3 to get the version to match the raring kernel? If so, do we know that the raring kernel's version won't end up bumped before raring's release? ** Changed in: drbd8 (Ubuntu Raring) Status: In Progress = Triaged ** Changed in: drbd8 (Ubuntu Raring) Assignee: Robie Basak (racb) = (unassigned) ** Tags added: upgrade-software-version -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to drbd8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1132302 Title: drbd8-utils are not compatible with kernel 3.8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/drbd8/+bug/1132302/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Thanks for your care. I'll give the packages a try. I guess any 8.4.x version would be OK. However I don't expect the DRBD module to be upgraded in Raring because they are in the mainline kernel now. [Bug 1100843] Re: Live Migration Causes Performance Issues
Few updates from a few tests we ran: Setup: hypervisor == Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS libvirt === 0.9.8-2ubuntu17.7 qemu-kvm === 1.0+noroms-0ubuntu14.7 storage: NFS exports Guest VM OS: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS Test 1: Created a new VM and kept it Idle for 60+ hours, then ran Unix benchmark test against it. (NO Live-migration/migration) Result 1: The performance was NOT affected and the result was the same as a fresh VM. Test 2: Created a new VM, and perform a virsh save domain file followed by a virsh restore file on the SAME hypervisor. Then run unix benchmark against it. Result 2: The VM is AFFECTED (cost to perform system calls degraded by ~21% ) Test 3: Rebooted the affected VM from test (2) and re-ran unix-benchmark tests against it. Result 3: Performance is back to normal and is identical to a newly created and non-migrated/not-saved VM. Thus, it seems the problem is also exposed by saving the running precise domain (memory pages) to state file followed by a restore even on the same hypervisor and not necessarily live-migration to a different host. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu-kvm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1100843 Title: Live Migration Causes Performance Issues To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu-kvm/+bug/1100843/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1040557] Re: UEFI boot live-usb bricks SAMSUNG 530U3C, np700z5c laptop
I don't know the full details, but believe the bug was triggered by part of the BIOS which came from an OEM for part of the hardware in these computers. If that is the case, it could be the same bug. What makes this bug so critical to fix is indeed that it is not Ubuntu which is the cause, that it can be triggered from user space. Probably these BIOS have a recognizable fingerprint, and therefor this vulnerability could be exploited with just a few lines of code to specifically target whole series of computers. So best to certainly raise awareness with Lenovo and make sure they figure out whether it is indeed the same issue, or a similar issue, and get it fixed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1040557 Title: UEFI boot live-usb bricks SAMSUNG 530U3C,np700z5c laptop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-cdimage/+bug/1040557/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1132529] Re: Can't start wicd daemon
What happens when you run sudo wicd? You should get some traceback that way. Does /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf exist on your system? Try this: ls -lah /etc/resolv.conf cat /etc/resolv.conf And check what was resolv.conf before with: ls -lah /etc/resolv.conf.backup -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1132529 Title: Can't start wicd daemon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wicd/+bug/1132529/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
