This bug also affects me using 12.10.
* Is this reproducible?
No, I haven't managed to find ways to reproduce it. It happens quit
regularly and causes a lot of delay when working with nautilus. The
above suggestion for filling in the RAM/Memory is not enough to explain
my problem, because I also
this problem is not experienced with 3.2 kernel. Perhaps this is a
problem with xorg 1.13 and my hd4xxx AMD card, however I am running
radeon open source drivers...

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
this software better. This particular crash has already been reported
and is a duplicate of bug #1156920, so is being marked as such.
This is a huge issue for me as well. I'd be willing to send $50 to
anyone who can get this fixed. My Macbook Air is essentially unusable
due to this problem -- and there's zillions of these machines out
there..

I have noticed an identical problem in 12.04.2(3.5 kernel with xorg
1.13),
Flgrx also fails to install drivers, the conflict being here is the
unsupported xorg 1.13.
I have noticed considerable speed improvements on open source radeon
drivers from 3.5 kernel to 3.8 kernel.

I won't be able to get to this for beta 2, I could land it shortly after
if the release team allows, otherwise, it can be in backports.
