This has been a nagging problem since a fresh kubuntu installation was
recently completed. The kubuntu-firefox-installer package conflicts with
the firefox package. Having finally worked around this bug the addition
of the gnome-desktop package re-created the problem.

I have tested the sample slide with the following builds:
-LO 4.0.2.2
-LODev 4.1 pre-alpha (64-bit with Core Text rendering)
-NeoOffice 3.3 (32-bit with Core Text rendering)
First of all, I can confirm the bug on LO 4.0.2.2. Indeed text appears
condensed, and definitely not pleasing to loo

Needless to say: thunderbird with lightning plugin
There, hope that did it (apport did say “dpkg-query: no packages found
matching ubuntu-release-upgrader” but it seems to be okay).
I took this bug back to New status, because I've sometimes had bugs
remain in Incomplete at this stage, and just expire in the end.
