have a perfectly fine locale also hit this bug: when generating the locales,
Spanish locale gave multiple syntax errors not inside a locale definition
error and resulted in a corrupted locale archive (see later)
This issue is also affecting my Lenovo Z580 with Intel Ivybridge. Some
boots get lucky, the unlucky boots force me to painfully hold down the
power button untill the computer hard resets.

I have the same bug for all the web apps. When I try to open them, they open up
as an Untitled Chromium window with no address bar and menu bar.
Also, they stack up as multiple windows.
But the main chromium browser icon is still separate. Only the web apps
are together.

However, per a forum I found online relating to a different Asus
product, I got the hotkeys to work by changing the
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT variable to acpi_osi= instead of

so yesterday, i started downloading 13.04 but i never booted up from DVD, tried

After update to 13.04, I noticed high cpu percentages for plasma-desktop and
for Xorg.
'top' shows plasma-desktop using 90-100% of a cpu, and Xorg using about 40-50%.

use gdb to attach to the plasma-desktop main process pid, then (of course) p-d

I'm having the same problem on a Macbook Pro 3,1. Booting through BIOS
emulation, not EFI.
My card is a GeForce 8600M GT: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA

After suspend, sometimes laptop will freeze (showing desktop with non-
moving mouse
I see the same exact behavior as timothee.
If I unminimize the window before clicking a link in another app, no
problems. It's the 'unminimize as a result of being called up by another
app' behavior that triggers the bug.
I also see this with thunderbird if it is minimized and I click a
mailto
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
