[Bug 1183300] Re: Please upgrade keepalived to the latest upstream version
Thanks for your work on this. What I noticed in your patch: - (minor) the indentation in debian/changelog is off a bit - as far as I can see everything is Remaining changes, right? - I think that DEB_UPDATE_RCD_PARAMS, DEB_AUTO_UPDATE_AUTOCONF, DEB_CONFIGURE_SCRIPT_ENV, DEB_CONFIGURE_EXTRA_FLAGS all are only used and meaningful in the context of cdbs. which is not used in this version any more. For instance seems --enable-snmp not to be passed on during the build. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to keepalived in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1183300 Title: Please upgrade keepalived to the latest upstream version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/keepalived/+bug/1183300/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1211876] [NEW] [Precise] keepalived reload buggy
Public bug reported: There are at least 2 identified problems with keepalived on Precise when trying to reload the configuration (/etc/keepalived/keepalived.conf): (a) The removal of a server from the cluster does not work when the port of that server is in use by another member server (b) The change of weight of a cluster member does not work Reload is done by either: 1. sudo service keepalived reload 2. sudo kill -HUP `pidof keepalived` The upstream devel list suggests that issue (a) [1] has been resolved in version 1.2.3 which is currently only in Debian unstable via version 1.2.7. I can't find the actual bug supposedly filed by 'Ronie Gilberto Henrich'. I have not tested 1.2.7 as it is not easily available to me. The pertinent entry for (a) in the upstream changelog [2] I believe is here: {{{ * check : Fix IPv4 address comparison routine. }}} This bug is a request to have fixes for both issues ([3] for (a)) introduced into Ubuntu 12.04. [Bug 1211942] [NEW] Dropped squid transitional package blocks -proposed migration
Public bug reported: From the changelog for 3.3.4-1ubuntu1: * Dropped: [...] - debian/control: Dropped transitional packages from squid, no longer required. Doing this makes sqcwa and squid-prefetch uninstallable in saucy, since they depend on squid. This is preventing migration of 3.3.4-1ubuntu1 to saucy. See: http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/proposed- migration/update_output.txt It seems to me that we still need the squid transitional package, and am not sure of the reasoning that it is no longer required. ** Affects: squid3 (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: New ** Affects: squid3 (Ubuntu Saucy) Importance: High Status: New ** Also affects: squid3 (Ubuntu Saucy) Importance: High Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to squid3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1211942 Title: Dropped squid transitional package blocks -proposed migration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/squid3/+bug/1211942/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1212051] [NEW] Windows XP guest lose connectivity with bridged network
Public bug reported: We have installed kvm on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Host 64 bits. There are 4 VM guest running Endian Firewall (Community Edition), and two Ubuntu 10.04 LTS servers. Aditionally 1 VM guest running Windows XP SP3 32 bits. Except the Endian Firewall, all VM has virtio drivers for ethernet and disc I/O. The problem only occurs on Windows XP VM. Aleatory the ethernet of this VM is loosed, and the guest don't respond any ping, or access from any port. The other linux VM has no problem, so aparently is not the problem of Bridged network that we saw in other reported bugs. * The impact is big on this VM because RDP freeze (because is lose connectivity). * All VM are using bridged networking. * ONLY Windows XP VM lose conectiviy. ** No longer affects: libvirt (Ubuntu Precise) ** No longer affects: libvirt (Ubuntu Quantal) ** No longer affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) ** No longer affects: libvirt (Ubuntu Raring) ** Description changed: + == + SRU Justification + 1. Impact: libvirt over time consumes excessive memory due to a call to libnetcf + 2. Development fix: a patch to free a path which was being leaked + 3. Stable fix: same as development fix + 4. Test case: start libvirtd, and connect to it with virt-manager. Leave that running. Run top in a terminal, hit 'M' to sort by memory, and watch for RSS for libvirtd to grow. Give it an hour or two to grow by a few M. + 5. Regression potential: there should be none as this only causes a path to be freed (after an earlier check for failure which should ensure the path is in fact allocated). + == libvirtd is using excessive amounts of memory after a week or so of uptime: uptime - 07:47:15 up 9 days, 21:49, 16 users, load average: 1.06, 2.20, 1.70 + 07:47:15 up 9 days, 21:49, 16 users, load average: 1.06, 2.20, 1.70 from top (sorry for the truncated line, window got resized before I copied it out. 18978 root 20 0 7334m 6.6g 672 S 1.0 42.3 504 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04 Package: libvirt-bin 1.0.2-0ubuntu11.13.04.2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-23.34-generic 3.8.11 Uname: Linux 3.8.0-23-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.9.2-0ubuntu8 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Jul 17 07:44:41 2013 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-01-13 (184 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-Server 12.10 Quantal Quetzal - Release amd64 (20121017.2) MarkForUpload: True SourcePackage: libvirt UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to raring on 2013-04-22 (85 days ago) - --- + --- ApportVersion: 2.9.2-0ubuntu8 Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-01-13 (184 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-Server 12.10 Quantal Quetzal - Release amd64 (20121017.2) KernLog: - + MarkForUpload: True Package: libvirt (not installed) ProcCmdline: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.8.0-23-generic root=/dev/mapper/hostname-root ro rootflags=subvol=@ ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-23.34-generic 3.8.11 Tags: raring Uname: Linux 3.8.0-23-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to raring on 2013-04-22 (85 days ago) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip libvirtd lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo modified.conffile..etc.apparmor.d.usr.lib.libvirt.virt.aa.helper: [modified] modified.conffile..etc.apparmor.d.usr.sbin.libvirtd: [modified] mtime.conffile..etc.apparmor.d.usr.lib.libvirt.virt.aa.helper: 2013-06-26T00:59:03.272193 mtime.conffile..etc.apparmor.d.usr.sbin.libvirtd: 2013-06-26T00:58:56.616193 ** Changed in: netcf (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: netcf (Ubuntu Quantal) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: netcf (Ubuntu Raring) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: netcf (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided = High ** Changed in: netcf (Ubuntu Quantal) Importance: Undecided = High ** Changed in: netcf (Ubuntu Raring) Importance: Undecided = High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to netcf in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1201938 Title: excessive memory use from libvirtd To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/netcf/+bug/1201938/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Re: [Bug 1022465] Re: rt73usb driver still buggy
I am very sorry, I updated maybe a hundred BIOS before, always without any problem (meaning, I know how to!). But when I had to update the BIOS of this mainboard last time, I ended up with a brick. I reckon it was an MSI problem (since I joined the ranks of many more people bitten likewise); and promised to myself never to try upgrading *this* mainboard again. [Bug 1181192] Re: 'Develop' tab opens three empty windows
The QtC comes from the upstream as it comes. We do not have the competence or resource to address the truly annoying bugs in the main QtC . This issue is confirmed and it is really annoying, but it does not block any key functionality or feature in the Ubuntu Touch application development. So I would not flag it as Critical. The issue is confirmed to be be fixed in the 2.8 version of the QtC and we will get the fix when we move on to the 2.8 from the 2.7.1. ** Changed in: ubuntu-qtcreator-plugins Importance: Critical = Medium ** Changed in: qtcreator (Ubuntu) Importance: Critical = Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1181192 Title: 'Develop' tab opens three empty windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-qtcreator-plugins/+bug/1181192/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 973270] Re: Printer does not provide REQUIRED job history.
I just noticed instruction 3 (after instruction 1 about the lpstat lpadmin commands: I suggest that the fix should have instruction 1 amended so that people know to read instruction 3 for the dnssd case). I tried to print, got the printer error inspected /var/log/cups/error_log (is that the correct log?)but it didn't show anything with ipp. Contents attached. page_log access_log were also of no help. What do I do to fix this? ** Attachment added: /var/log/cups/error_log https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/973270/+attachment/3770818/+files/error_log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973270 Title: Printer does not provide REQUIRED job history.
