True. However I do need the debug symbols for the PATCHED qemu-kvm
package, specifically for the ppa2 version. These symbols are of course
not in the official ddebs repos and also not in the PPA.

tl;dr: I second the verification

Dear everyone,

I have used puppet to maintain a collection of some dozens of Precise

I've enabled the precise-proposed repository on a few test servers and
updated facter to 1.6.5-1ubuntu1.2. Based on some hundreds of test runs,

[Bug 1226674] Re: openstack-dashboard should suggest python3-lesscpy

2013-09-17 Thread Scott Moser
I'm going to remove the upload to '-staging' of python-lesscpy.

As it stands, this is *broken* because:
 a.) python-lesscpy depends on python-ply, which wasn't uploaded
 b.) python-lesscpy depends on 'python3 (= 3.2.3-3~)', and version in 12.04 of
python3-defaults is 3.2.3-0ubuntu1.2.

Additionally, the python-lesscpy package is less than ideal in these ways:
c.) only builds python3-lesscpy while python2 is listed as supported by
upstream.
d.) there would ideally be a 'lesscpy' package that delivered the binary
/usr/bin/lesscpy that depended on python3-lesscpy.

[Bug 1226674] [NEW] openstack-dashboard should suggest python3-lesscpy

2013-09-17 Thread Scott Moser
Public bug reported:

Upstream horizon commit at [1] dropped requirement on less.js in favor
of python-lesscpy. Upstream MP at [2] specifically says still waiting
on ubuntu package.

As packaged in ubuntu and debian, 'lesscpy' binary is only available in
'python3-lesscpy' package.

In order to support upstream's ci that wants to use lesscpy from cloud archive,
we're interested in uploading it to the cloud archive.
However, we don't really want to have packages (other than top level
openstack packages) in the cloud archive that are not dependencies.

I'm not sure how best to address this really. One suggestion (as in the
title here) is to 'Suggests' the python3-lesscpy package from openstack-
dashboard. Then, at least we have *some* link as to why this package is
being added.

[Bug 1201873] [NEW] dnsmasq does not use -h, so /etc/hosts sends folks to loopback when they look up the machine it's running on

2013-09-17 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

 from dnsmasq(8):

  -h, --no-hosts
Don't read the hostnames in /etc/hosts.

I reliably get bit by this during certain kinds of deployments, where my
nova-network/dns host has an entry in /etc/hosts such as:

127.0.1.1hostname.example.com hostname

I keep having to edit /etc/hosts on that machine to use a real IP,
because juju gets really confused when it looks up certain openstack
hostnames and gets sent to its own instance!

2013-09-17 Thread Robie Basak
I made one modification: I added dep3 headers to the quilt patch. Please
see http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep3/ for details.

[Bug 1226833] [NEW] zend (php-fpm) crashes in high load/memory server

2013-09-17 Thread Rarylson Freitas
Public bug reported:

When the server is with a big load and, mainly, using a lot of memory
(and swapping), the php5-fpm process crashs with a SIGFAULT signal.

The service works again when I do a `service php5-fpm restart` command.

The problem occours a few times (everytime, the server was with 100%
memory usage, and swapping). It occours 5 times in a single day when the
application was with a uncommon CPU/memory usage (caused by a already
solved bug).

dmesg returns a lot of messages like:

  [6463236.343483] php5-fpm[12724]: segfault at 30 ip 006b9311 sp
7fff6e724ab0 error 4 in php5-fpm[40+75b000]

error:0 in php5-fpm[40+75b000]

I'll attaching an /var/crash/_usr_sbin_php5-fpm.33.crash file (Set, 14).
I'll try to attach a lot of core dumps (Set, 15 and Set, 16) generated
using the php5-dbg package (with debug symbols) and send the entire
dmesg output.

Environment: Ubuntu Server 12.04.3 LTS, Webserver with PHP5-FPM

[Bug 1216650] Re: slapd crashed with SIGSEGV in lutil_str2bin() when using mdb

2013-09-17 Thread Robie Basak
I've reviewed and tested this. I failed to reproduce in Saucy as
expected. I reproduced in Precise, verified that this patch fixes the
bug, and reviewed the patch itself. Uploaded, with some help from
cjwatson and infinity for ~ubuntu-server-dev packageset permissions.

[Bug 1225985] Re: gnome-shell uses over 300% CPU most the time

2013-09-17 Thread Paweł Szafer
Hello,
I'm sure this bug is related to Chromium-browser.

When I logged in and using programs like nautilus, gnome takes about 60%
CPU, but when chromium is running, then gnome-shell takes 100% CPU and
even after closing chromium it doesn't come back to usage in the level
of 60% CPU

I don't know if this bug is cause by HW acceleration in chromium, gtk
theme problem or something else.

2013-09-17 Thread Po-Hsu Lin
Public bug reported:

CID: 201304-13210 Dell Inspiron 3437

The wireless key does not work on this system.

Steps:
1. Boot to Desktop
2. Press the Wireless key (Fn+F2)

Expected result:
1. Wireless connection should be brought down/up by the wireless key.

Actual result:
1. Nothing happened
2. rfkill list result didn't change after the wireless key was pressed.
0: phy0: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no

From the sudo showkey -k command, keycode 240 was captured everytime when
the wireless key was pressed / relesased.
However, its functionality seems not working.

apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected

** Description changed:

  CID: 201304-13210 Dell Inspiron 3437

The wireless key does not work on this system.

  Steps:
  1. Boot to Desktop
  2. Press the Wireless key (Fn+F2)

  Expected result:
  1. Wireless connection should be brought down/up by the wireless key.

  Actual result:
  1. Nothing happened
  2. rfkill list result didn't change after the wireless key was pressed.
  0: phy0: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no

From the sudo showkey -k command, keycode 240 was captured everytime when
the wireless key was pressed / relesased.
However, its functionality seems not working.

[Bug 1215513] Re: System locks up, requires hard reset

2013-09-17 Thread Dan Muresan
Since several bugs with much more details were merged into this one, the
most likely early warning of zram problems are messages like

Buffer I/O error on device zram0, logical block 257912 [repeated X
times]

You get those right after modprobing / formatting zram. If you don't see
those with the new kernel, either things are in good shape or the bugfix
didn't work.

[Bug 1221876] Re: 1814:5390 [Asus X55A] Driver rt2800pci doesn't work, WiFi logout and login continuously

2013-09-17 Thread Anders Lanzen
The same problem occurs for me with the latest v.3.11-07 kernel. Signal
strength is very low and with some encodings (WPA2?) does not work at
all (connection dropped after some seconds). I have spent days trying to
fix this bug without luck. Proprietary drivers for rt3290 from Realtek
do not compile in the 3.11 kernel and caused kernel panic frequently in
3.9, why I upgraded to saucy. I see no other solution than to change
computers or replace the wifi card, for now.

magics++ (2.18.15-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Don't use emoslib on mips: emoslib needs grib-api, not available there.
  * Now use --enable-opengl as we have real motif in Debian.
