Hi, Just installed the daily image of 13.10 and for my web dev i need php5-mcrypt, the current version in the repos is : php5-mcrypt 5.4.6-0ubuntu2 whilst it installs fine, it doesn't seem to work,no matter what I've tried I can't get it enabled. I tried getting the latest mcrypt version from the debian sid repo but its for php 5.5.4 and the ubuntu php version is 5.5.3 http://packages.debian.org/sid/php5-mcrypt any idea on when you'll get a compatible version into the ubuntu repos for 13.10? I'm also seeing this behavior. No change when installing from the current Havana packages in Ubuntu cloud archive under 12.04 (Precise), but looks like the fix (#12) was only released to saucy. The cloud archive does not yet have the fix. It's not terribly hard to patch the packages locally, though. The problem:
I can clearly see that a machine is allocated in response to the bootstrap
request and that the
same machine is destroyed when the env is trashed, yet, I can't get a handle on
the environment.
Odd thing is this problem cropped up all of a sudden. I've been provisioning
via juju
maybe 5-6 times a day due to the hardware speed over the last week and it just
stops working.
I've tried restart the processes, upgrading to latest maas, and rebooting. It
just stays in this
state. I can't use it for anything.

I just did some more testing on the second cluster and I met no problem at all. With your package installed, I did the drbd down/apply-al procedure and downgraded to kernel 3.2. After fixing the config syntax, the resources came back cleanly without a full-sync. The drbd utils just worked. At that point I noticed that DRBD 8.3.11 connects normally with the other node still using DRBD 8.4.2. That's just great! I upgraded again to kernel 3.8 and reverted the config files: the utils worked fine and the resources connected without problem. So I'd say this is just fine. Thanks again. [Bug 1233521] [NEW] system-image cannot recover from a partial download without rebooting
Public bug reported: In response to bug #1228254, u-d-m now throws a dbus error if it's asked in unconfined mode for a file that already exists. This combines with system-image behavior to make it impossible to recover from a failed download without rebooting the device. I think system-image needs to check for already-downloaded files on the system in the expected path, and either remove them unconditionally for redownload, or spot-verify their sums and omit any correctly-downloaded files from the request to u-d-m. Relatedly, system-image needs to stop using a well-known path under /tmp for these files. This needs to move to a root-only directory instead. (While s-i could use proper tmpdir handling to create a private directory under /tmp without risking a DoS or symlink attack, this would have undesirable semantics wrt retries, because subsequent s-i processes would necessarily be asking u-d-m to download files to different directories each time.) From an FHS standpoint, I think the correct location for these downloads is /var/cache/system-image. That would need to be coordinated with lxc-android-config to get this directory made writable. This still happens in 13.10 (saucy). This time I installed the Beta-2 of Lubuntu (thus using an lxsession). Reboot or shutdown fails everytime. It hangs for around ten seconds, then it reboots and fsck shows deleted orphaned inode. Only helps to uninstall network-manager-*, nm-*, modemmanager, ureadahead. How come this hasn't been fixed yet? It is reproduceable all the time for me. (My router is fine and network also.
