[Bug 875262] Re: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php5/20090626+lfs/sqlite.so'

2013-10-06 Thread Luis Ferro
There is a quick fix for this issue, which is to add the full path of
the file in the ini file loading the extension.

Some extensions that give this error will load with this work around
without issues (zend-opcache on php 5.3 for instance).

Re: [Bug 1180777] Re: RDP traffic freeze on quiet network

2013-10-06 Thread f3a97
Hi,

I've double checked my conf, I can confirm I'm not using virtio but
standard Win 7 drivers. (please see my VM conf that I posted some time ago).

So it's not definitely a virtio-specific issue.

On 3 October 2013 16:31, Serge Hallyn 1180...@bugs.launchpad.net wrote:

 Quoting Vasile Dumitrescu (launchpad.vas...@undeva.net):
I added a rtl8139c netcard to the VM and connected through it by RDP -
  no more freezes.

It looks like kvm does not play well with virtio network cards and RDP.

Red Hat virtio net windows driver version: 62.65.104.6500, 6/19/2013

This makes me wonder if the bug may not actually be in the virtio net
 driver.
The source for that is at
 https://github.com/YanVugenfirer/kvm-guest-drivers-windows .
 Something like commit 9b1b81a731f722efa8df24429649b527a17bf433 might
be relevant (assuming the git HEAD has this fixed, which I've not
 tested).

   New

 Bug description:
To summarize what I think has been found so far,

 1. The main symptom is that RDP connections hang after some time
 2. This bug affects qemu 1.0 .. 1.6.5
 3. This bug affects at least windows xp and windows 7 guests
 4. Keeping another network connection open, such as vnc, prevents the
 RDP connection from hanging.

   Hi,

I have recently setup a Windows 7 VM on KVM and started using it
   through remote desktop.

What happens is that, after some hours of usage, the remote desktop
connection freezes. I thought it was a remmina bug, as the it was
enough to kill and restart it to successfully connect again to the VM.

However, today I've switched to a different RDP client (2X Client
chromium app) and the freeze just happened again!

   Some information:
   - the host and the VM are completely idle when the freeze occurs
   - I've tried sniffing the network packets toward the RDP port during the
freeze and found that the client is sending packets but no packet is sent
 back

Could this be a KVM issue? How can I further debug this one (I expect
   the freeze to happen again...)?

[Bug 1194310] Re: cachemgr.cgi crashes after login

2013-10-06 Thread Idler
** Description changed:

I setup squid and the Squid cachemanager by installing squid3 and squid-
  cgi.

The proxy works fine. FQDN is also reported correctly and resolves
  correctly.

However, after opening cachemgr.cgi in a webbrowser, I'm correctly
  greeted with a login screen, followed by a HTTP 500. HTTPD's error.log
  shows the following error.

[Bug 1236065] [NEW] Crypto support missing in Saucy

2013-10-06 Thread Tyler Hicks
Public bug reported:

From the ntp_1:4.2.6.p5+dfsg-2ubuntu3 buildlog:

checking for openssl library directory... /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu
checking for openssl include directory... no
checking if we will use crypto... no

I noticed this after the QRT test test-ntp.py had some unexpected
failures due to ntp-keygen not working:

  # ntp-keygen -p test
  /usr/sbin/ntp-keygen: illegal option -- p
  ...

Looking through the source, the -p option is wrapped with #ifdef
OPENSSL. The same preprocessor conditional is used throughout the ntp
source to enable/disable crypto support.

Debian bug #696390 has the needed fix.

Merge ntp 1:4.2.6.p5+dfsg-3 from Debian testing.

I've verified that QRT's test-ntp.py now passes. Here's the relevant

got a lot of answers, and firefox end connection with user-message:
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for
this address in a way that will never complete.. In Firebug from
Firefox I see a lot of GET webpage with code 302 Moved Temporarily. In
firefox squid is set simply as a proxy on port 3128. There is no any
problems with dns or routing on squid box (as well as client machine)-
all ipv6 addresses (ipv6.google.com, facebook etc) could be simply
pinged or connected.

This bug cane be easily reproducable:

The version of openvswitch in the proposed pocket is missing from
header files; this is fixed in the staging PPA
(ppa:ubuntu-cloud-archive/havana-staging) which should flush through
to proposed/updates next week as we push out Havana RC1.

fix. It affects a good chunk of the ultrabooks and more and more users
will become affected as time goes on. Lenovo Yoga 11s here.

[Bug 875688] Re: [ubuntu-bug] Default browser setting ignored.

2013-10-06 Thread Colin Law
I found a link that suggested that apport uses root privileges when reporting
and hence does not use the users settings. Instead it uses the
update-alternatives settings. Run
update-alternatives --get-selections
to see what gnome-www-browser and x-www-browser are set to. Then use
sudo update-alternatives --config gnome-www-browser
and
sudo update-alternatives --config x-www-browser
to set it to your preferred browser.
Mine was set to chromium-browser, possibly an update to this hijacked the
alternatives.
This fix has worked for me, so this may be an invalid bug.

[Bug 1213123] Re: 045e:009c [H87I-PLUS] Microsoft Keyboard Elite for Bluetooth dead keys problem

2013-10-06 Thread Maeda
Hi !
I made some other tests that are relevant :

With another brand/model keyboard (Logitech k400r) :

Precise : dongle doesn't work
Saucy daily (20130925) : bluetooth won't activate

In both cases, lsusb show the dongle, same behavior as my usb dongle/keyboard.
--
With Precise and bluez 4.60 (my workaround) and this keyboard, all's working,
including dead keys, like my previous motherboard. Same behavior, but without
the problem of dead keys, which isn't a bug that you should be aware of, as
this is a (bad ?) workaround.
--
In conclusion, there definitely IS a problem between Asus haskell's
motherboards and bluez (and Ubuntu ?).
As my motherboard is a pretty new one from Asus (and as the h87-pro have the
same bug), I think bluez (or ubuntu) needs to patch something, as some other
guys will bought them !

Just tell me which log to see, or how to make those more verbose. I'm ready to
test all you want.
Maybe the title should be change so that the name/brand of the keyboard will
not be written.

Thanks.

[Bug 1235649] Re: session upstart leaks massive amounts of memory on Ubuntu Touch

2013-10-06 Thread Jean-Baptiste Lallement
I confirm this behaviour with build 82 on mako.
To illustrate it I made the following test:
Start and stop dialer-app every 6s (reasonable delay to give time to the
application to start and stop)
The application is started with: start application APP_ID=dialer-app
and stop with a kill.

I captured RSS measured by ps after each stop and made 2 runs with Mir and 1
with SF. The result is attached.
I shows that RSS usage of init with Mir is much higher the SF and growth is
exponential while it is linear with Mir.

As a side note, the number of samples with Mir is limited to less than
50 because the phone stops responding at this moment while it continues
to run fine with SF. This is reproduceable.

Yes, for libxtuplecommon

I also made a sync request for 4.1.0, that is the version I recommend
for Ubuntu users as it will be easier for Debian maintainers to support
if both Debian and Ubuntu carry the same version for now.

[Bug 168914] Re: Inkscape requires large-config support in libgc

2013-10-06 Thread rjaduthie
This problem has appeared on my system. The Boehm Garbage Collector
(Boehm gc, libgc) is version 7.2d-r1. The OS I am using is Sabayon
13.10. Inkscape is at version 0.48.4-r1.

The operation I am attempting is the command line conversion of an SVG
to an EPS. The SVG is 174.3 MB in size (yes, it's pretty big). When
running from a instance of 'konsole' within the KDE desktop, the
instance of Inkscape exits without any warning apart from Killed.
When running from an X Session, the message is:

Too many heap sections: Increase MAXHINCR or MAX_HEAP_SECTS
Emergency save activated!
Emergency save completed. Inkscape will close now.
If you can reproduce this crash, please file a bug at www.inkscape.org
with a detailed description of the steps leading to the crash, so we can fix
it.

Another SVG of size 139MB manages to convert successfully (after a long
wait).

[Bug 1235913] [NEW] gear menu shutdown and restart commands open the same dialog

2013-10-06 Thread Borim
Public bug reported:

When you click on the shutdown or restart command in the gear menu the
shutdown dialogue appear asking you again if you want to shutdown or
restart the computer.

Either remove the obsolete entry in the gear menu, or shutdown/restart
the computer without asking again.
