Fought it for an hour. No info on the web. [Bug 1335652] [NEW] phpinfo() Type Confusion Information Leak Vulnerability
*** This bug is a security vulnerability *** Public security bug reported: Reported in php as bug #67498 by Stefan Esser. Here is an excerpt from the bug of some of the capabilities of this security bug: Because this is only exploitable in case these variables are overwritten as integers, which is less likely in a remote context this has to be mostly considered a local information leak only. [Bug 1335560] Re: Hindi(Devanagari) Inscript Keyboard Layout not present
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1335560/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1321335] Re: Build failure when ZFS support is enabled
Now that the bug is confirmed to affect multiple users, allow me to post the work-around I found, in hopes it will help address the issue. I have installed grub-pc, grub-pc-bin, grub-common, grub2-common version 2.01-22debian1+zfs3-0.6.3-2~wheezy and zfs-initramfs version 0.6.3-0.27~21b446~wheezy, all downloaded manually from the zfsonlinux debian repository, and marked as held (apt-mark hold grub-pc ...). In addition, I added zfsforce=1 to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX in /etc/default/grub (I haven't checked if that's still required after the upgrade to zfs 0.6.3). Finally, if one uses the root dataset (the one with the pool's name) for the root filesystem instead of a child dataset, one has to remove the trailing slash from the pool name after each update-grub. That's a confirmed issue @ZoL, one for which I do not know if a decision has been made yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1321335 Title: Build failure when ZFS support is enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1321335/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1335582] [NEW] Scrolling in one desktop touches apps in another desktop
Public bug reported: I've found a bug in how unity/compiz handles multiple desktops. Here are the steps to reproduce it. 1) Setup four virtual desktops in a 2x2 configuration 2) On the top-left desktop setup a terminal window maximized to the left side (by dragging it to the left edge so it uses the left half of the screen) 3) On the top-right desktop open up firefox and maximize it 4) Navigate to a page that needs scrolling 5) Try to scroll by moving the scrollbar on the right of the screen What happens is that the mouse pointer gets grabbed by the resize target of the terminal window on the top-left screen. [Bug 1335514] Re: Ubuntu unity system tray / notification area / main menu bar indicator icons auto-hide (sub menu)
** Summary changed: - Ubuntu unity system tray / notification area / main menu bar launcher icons auto-hide (sub menu) + Ubuntu unity system tray / notification area / main menu bar indicator icons auto-hide (sub menu) ** Description changed: Hi, I recently moved from windows 7 to ubuntu. one of the things that is really strange to me is the system tray / notification area / main menu - bar launcher icons do not auto hide in to a sub menu like windows xp, + bar indicator icons do not auto hide in to a sub menu like windows xp, vista, 7, 8. It looks like a windows 2000 system tray with icons taking over the entire bar /panel. - I for one like to have a lot of launcher icons which i only use + I for one like to have a lot of indicator icons which i only use sparingly. this feature /bug is especially annyoing for me because the main menu bar in ubuntu doubles as a universal menu and title bar for all apps /windows (when maximized) and it also contains the main menu and (maximize, minimize, close) buttons leaving even less space. I use the window title bar for many things like click, draging and dropping, maximizing / restoring windows, right click menu item close, - so since i cant see the menus and the launcher icons take up all the - space i end up either clicking on the menu or on one of the launcher + so since i cant see the menus and the indicator icons take up all the + space i end up either clicking on the menu or on one of the indicator icons when i try to do one of the said actions. In addition if i remove the items from main menu bar then it might be difficult for me to display them if i need them which might require some commands in terminal. - Please create an auto-hide (sub menu) for launcher icons. + Please create an auto-hide (sub menu) for indicator icons. system info: ubuntu 14.04 LTS files 3.10.1 ** Tags removed: launcher ** Tags added: indicator -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1335514 Title: Ubuntu unity system tray / notification area / main menu bar indicator icons auto-hide (sub menu) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1335514/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 732653] Re: Menus are hidden by default
Personally i am only bothered by the hiding menus once the window is maximized. Then when i click on the title bar, i either get the launcher icons or one of the menu items. I dont understand why there is no option to always enable menus? [Bug 1335605] [NEW] Click location displaced upwards by about 1cm
Public bug reported: When backups start, and Place Windows in compiz is set to Maximise, clicking controls on the backup window doesn't work. However, if you click about 1cm above them (e.g. the details arrow, or buttons, or option buttons if running first time) then they work. Public bug reported: On ubuntu 14.04 64bits (did not occur in 12.04) gedit 3.10.4-0ubuntu4 gedit-plugins 3.10.1-1ubuntu2 I have activated the completion plugin provided in the 'EditPreferencePlugins' menu. When using a code snippet that uses variables to put the same text at various places, autocompleting this text causes a mess in the snippet. Example: with the following test snippet begin($1) ... end($1) suppose I start typing 'wh...' in place of $1 and 'while' is proposed by the autocompletion plugin. Then I you press enter I get something like begin(whwhilewhwhile) instead of begin(while) ... end(while) Moreover pressing ctrl+c to cancel yiels even messier results. ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1335613 Title: Bad interaction between code snippets and autocompletion plugin in gedit To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1335613/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
