I'm now testing my one-line patch from comment #5 on top of 3.2.0-67.101
(amd64, generic kernel flavour). So far it doesn't seem to make things
worse, but since I don't have a sure-fire way of triggering the bug it

Title:
This happens on my computer too. Applications move to other desktops
after screen lock. I have two identical monitors in landscape mode and
2x2 virtual desktops. This problem appeared on my computer when I
installed 14.04 on top of a previous 13.04 install.

Terrible print drivers for the Brother MFC-8480DN (connected via USB to
the computer).
I've been running Ubuntu since version 10 and in five versions the
supplied Ubuntu drivers have never worked.
Sometimes I get double copies when I choose one copy.
Vdragon, see my 2014-02-24 comment for why the notification area can't
just be provided as an indicator.
