[Bug 1401658] Re: Host veth mtu not preserved during container reboot
I think I see what the problem is; the containers on these hosts where created with mtu 1500; i then updated the configuration files to set the mtu to 9000 + set the veth mtu's to 9000 using: ip link set veth mtu 9000 This means that the container was started using an mtu of 1500 not 9000. Rebooting the container internally results in the host mtu re-setting to 1500. This is a general side effect of trying to massage mtu's to 9000 to support jumbo frames in openstack deployments. ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1401658 Title: Host veth mtu not preserved during container reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1401658/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1355813] Re: LXC containers reset bridge MTU on start/restart
I've re-titled this bug to be about effective interface MTU management across MAAS and Juju; enabling Jumbo frames is something that we should support in our core tooling and is critical for the successful operation of a Neutron based OpenStack Cloud. Combine this with LXC container spread across physical servers and right now this is fiddly and error prone. ** Also affects: juju-core (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: juju-core (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = High ** Changed in: juju-core (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: maas Status: Incomplete = New ** Summary changed: - LXC containers reset bridge MTU on start/restart + Interface MTU management across MAAS/juju ** Tags added: landscape -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to juju-core in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1355813 Title: Interface MTU management across MAAS/juju To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/juju-core/+bug/1355813/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1380084] Re: SSH client requires SSH_AUTH_SOCK=0 will not work without it, can't use key auth without SSH_AUTH_SOCK=0
This bug has hit me quite hard in the last week, breaking a number of automated ssh processes that have been working without a hitch prior to sometime after Monday evening (8 December, UTC+8) this week. I can pin it down to that because each Monday and Friday evening I use a scripted ssh tunnel to connect a pgAdmin III client to a remote Postgres database. It worked last Monday, it didn't in between. Sometime after Monday this week, other ssh processes also broke. I'm providing this info in case it helps someone pin down what changed to cause this problem. [Bug 252245] Re: unable to connect to windows network pc's
James Walters, this phenomenon is verified in Trusty attempting to discover a Windows 7 share with Nautilus via a WiFi router connection. Strangely enough, if I spun up a Vista virtual local to the Trusty install (which uses a virtual switch, not a router) I could see its share by hostname with no modification. The bug reproduces every time I do the following: - I try to pair my phone (NEC e949) to my computer, pairing is initiated from the phone. - Phone asks for a PIN and I tell it 1234 - Computer says Pairing request.. - I click Enter passkey and enter the same PIN in the dialog. And I press OK - Ubuntu says Created bonding ... After that the mouse cursor is frozen, keyboard does not work and the caps lock indicator is blinking. Hardware: Lenovo Thinkpad T61. Note: This bug reproduces only on an installed Ubuntu 8.04 with all the patches installed. The LiveCD works just fine. I would be happy to do more research into this but at this point of time I do not know what can be done. The /var/log/messages does not show anything interesting. Perhaps, that's because the computer freezes so quickly that the messages do not get onto disk. By the way, there are numerous messages about transactions being replayed during the ReiserFS's file system check. I suspect that the problem can be caused either by one of the software updates or a conflict of drivers. The LiveCD obviously does not have nVidia's proprietary driver and there can be other differences too. One more thing. There is a bug #103365 which looks a bit similar. The difference is that in my case the computer hangs exactly after the pairing. [Bug 1401802] [NEW] Calendar reminder notifications became queued, non-interactive and easy to miss
Public bug reported: With the recent indicator-datetime update the reminder notifications time out and are not interactive any more, meaning that: - can't dismiss (have to wait for the sound/notification to time out) - can't snooze (I know the feature didn't work, but that was a missing feature, not a thing we didn't want?) - if you missed the notification, you missed the reminder Not sure if the reason is the same, but they started queueing, too, i.e. if there's two reminders for the same time, sound will play for both (bug #1340248), but the two notifications will be shown one after another. This is a UX regression in my opinion, even if it fixes bug #1320880. [Bug 1358890] Re: [Notifications] Competing notifications when two alarms kick at the same time
One reason for keeping them separate is that it'd be easier to miss what the alarms/reminders relate to if they've been folded up. Another is that you might want to snooze one of them, but not the other. I'd be fine with snoozing all or none, but with calendar reminders you might have per-event snoozing rules, which at some point we should probably respect. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1358890 Title: [Notifications] Competing notifications when two alarms kick at the same time To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-datetime/+bug/1358890/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1401658 Title: Host veth mtu not preserved during container reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1401658/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1401814] [NEW] ARandR needs to bu run as root to write config file
Public bug reported: Hi, Using ARandR 0.1.7.1-1 with Ubuntu 14.04 and XFCE, I need to run ARandR with sudo from the command line to get it save the config file in my home directory (the file having root:root as user:group). If I run it with the GUI ARandR is not able to write the config file and no warning or error is prompted. ** Affects: arandr (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1401814 Title: ARandR needs to bu run as root to write config file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/arandr/+bug/1401814/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
