I can confirm this bug with the 3.13 kernel shipped with Ubuntu 14.04.
The 3.2 kernel shipped with Ubuntu 12.04 did not have the problem, all
download were succeeding. The problem started after upgrade to 14.04.
The problem also solved after downgrading the kernel to 3.2 by
downloading the latest
Fixed in trunk. Grid with azerty has an 'm' key too now.

Ok, I discovered my computer *never* can resume if I remove the closed
source nvidia driver. When I remove this driver, I also cannot resume my
current 3.13.0-43 kernel which does resume with this driver installed.
So, my report that the bug is still existing in newer kernels, may or
may not be
still broken in 2015.04

This is not a bug, but expected behaviour.
If an ordering option is supplied to '-k' ('n' in this particular case),
global ordering options are overridden.
I.e. when sort is called this way:
sort --reverse -k2
the global option '--reverse' takes effect.
But in this case:
sort --reverse
firefox 37.0a still affected.

Most obvious example: rebooting via unity button doesn't work anymore.

Something happened in the last week or so of updates for 14.10. Instead
of crashing directly or shortly after uploading, now the Flickr dialog
hangs busy-waiting for a minute or two, after which Shotwell crashes.
Now it's impossible to upload things at all, in other words.

In my case the deinstallation of ulatencyd has solved the problem.
I had the problem in the old install, made a clean install and at some
point started seeing the problem again. Somehow I guessed I should try
deinstalling ulatencyd and it helped indeed. Installing it again and
rebooting makes the
