It looks like that is an issue with the upstream NGINX repository. Are you using the NGINX.org listed repositories on their site, and not the PPAs? [Bug 1294689] Re: Firefox doesn't use dolphin to open download directory
Kubuntu 14.04, all updates till today (2014-12-22): Had same problem, but with audacious comming up, instead of dolphin. Deinstalled Audacious. Then Gwenview came up instead. After some searching i found, that firefox is using /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache from desktop-file-utils. This was line for inode/directory : inode/directory=audacious.desktop;kde4-gwenview.desktop;kde4-dolphin.desktop;kde4-kfmclient_dir.desktop; Same Problem for pdf, getting gimp instead of okular: application/pdf=gimp.desktop;kde4-okularApplication_pdf.desktop; Editing by hand, showed, that ff used always the first entry of this for directory. Same Problem with line application/pdf=kde4-okularApplication_pdf.desktop;gimp.desktop; Everey update triggering /var/lib/dpkg/info/desktop-file-utils.postinst created /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache from completely scratch. No changes by hand survived. Applications got sorted alphbetically in each line again. Ugly (but system wide) solution for me now : I added some lines in /var/lib/dpkg/info/desktop-file-utils.postinst, after update-desktop-database -q : --- set -x grep -v application/pdf=\|inode/directory\|MIME Cache /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache.xx cat /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache.willi.kopf /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache cat /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache.willi /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache.xx sort /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache.xx /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache rm /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache.xx set +x --- I can repair that for my family and the school i'm supporting, but I consider that very annoying especially for unexperienced users. As a workaround I've added an Upstart configuration file to run krenew in every user's session; it's as simple as start on xsession stop on desktop-end respawn exec /usr/bin/krenew -K 60 (One may need to add a -t flag if AFS token renewal is desired.) Lightdm still refreshes the wrong ccache but krenew independently takes care of the right one. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1336663 Title: lightdm uses wrong ccache name on pam_krb5 credentials refresh To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/lightdm/+bug/1336663/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1404864] [NEW] package jffnms 0.9.3-3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported: I initially selected Postgresql, but it failed due to a syntax incompatibility in the SQL. I then tried to make it just use mysql, but that failed since it was trying to use user 'postgres' rather than user 'root' at that point, which of course fails with the MySQL database. I have not begun exploring the software to see if I can use it for anything... :-) ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10 Package: jffnms 0.9.3-3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.16.0-28.38~ppa1-lowlatency-tuxonice 3.16.7-ckt1 Uname: Linux 3.16.0-28-lowlatency-tuxonice x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.14.7-0ubuntu8 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Dec 21 06:28:51 2014 ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-11-10 (406 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander - Release amd64 (20131016.1) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: jffnms Title: package jffnms 0.9.3-3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to utopic on 2014-10-06 (77 days ago) ** Affects: jffnms (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-package utopic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1404864 Title: package jffnms 0.9.3-3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/jffnms/+bug/1404864/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1404870] [NEW] Please upgrade libechonest to libechonest2.3
Public bug reported: There have been two further releases of libechonest since 2.1.0. Please update the relevant packages to the upstream release (https://projects.kde.org/projects/playground/libs/libechonest). Sadly the debian maintainer is unable to upgrade the package because: Sadly echonest uses the first *and* second version number to form the SONAME. This means I need to do a transition in order to push a new version to unstable, and we can't do that right now due to the freeze process. (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=766594) The tomahawk project (https://launchpad.net/tomahawk) needs libechonest2.3 for packaging tomahawk 0.8.x. I've packaged libechonest2.3 in my PPA (https://launchpad.net/~justin-time/+archive/ubuntu/tomahawk). ** Affects: libechonest (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: libechonest (Debian) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Tags: upgrade-software-version vivid ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #766594 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=766594 ** Also affects: libechonest (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=766594 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1404870 Title: Please upgrade libechonest to libechonest2.3 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libechonest/+bug/1404870/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1404829] Re: weather applet crashes on logout:
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I noticed that you are installing an older version of Ubuntu, unless you have some specific requirements to run an older release I recommend trying to install the latest LTS version of Ubuntu. We released version 14.04.1, in July of 2014, and it is a Long Term Support release. You can find different ways to obtain it at http://download.ubuntu.com. In the event that you really want to run the older version of Ubuntu please set this bug's status back to New. Thanks! [This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.] ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1404829 Title: weather applet crashes on logout: To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1404829/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1404869] [NEW] Bei HDMI-Anschluss Black Screen
Since the update to kernel version 3.13.0-43.generic there when connecting an HDMI device always has a black screen, the connected device does not show any signal and the computer can no longer operate. Also disconnecting the HDMI cable makes no changes, the screen stays black and it only helps a restart. This error is also after the last X server upgrade is still available. It is not possible to connect a HDMI device. When booting the kernel 3.13.0-40 everything works without error.
